BBC’s period drama, Call the Midwife, premiered in 2012 and has been one of the most popular TV shows since then. It depicts the struggles of the sisters and nurses of Nonnatus House as they face difficulties in taking care of newborns and their mothers.
Set in the mid to late 20th century, Call the Midwife focuses on the limitations faced by the short-staffed nurses and sisters due to a lack of medical care for the women giving birth and the children being born. A series with a 14-season run and still going strong can only be possible with gripping storytelling and the performance of the ensemble cast.
Numerous characters have appeared in Call the Midwife, with some still remaining with the show and more joining with every new season.
Here’s the cast and character guide of Call the Midwife, who still appear in the show.
