Before revealing his decision, The Golden Bachelor star Mel Owens confessed to the cameras about how difficult it was for him to make a choice.
"So, there's only three families that I'm going to meet next week. Choosing is going to be tough. But...I'm looking for love, I'm looking for that special feeling with one of these women. There's choices that have to be made," confessed Mel Owens.
The Golden Bachelor Season 2 Episode 4: Mel Owens talks to Jesse Palmer about making tough decisions
The latest The Golden Bachelor Season 2 Episode 4 featured Mel Owens choosing the final three participants.
The episode started with six female participants, including Cindy, Cheryl, Debbit, Carol, Nicolle, and Peg. One of them, Carol, decided to leave the show after feeling Mel was not the guy for her.
From the remaining five participants, Mel had to choose three. The remaining two contestants who won't receive his rose would be sent home. Before the Rose Ceremony, Mel Owens confessed to the cameras regarding making a choice.
He noted that the next week he would go meet the three families of the final three contestants. He was looking for love and "that special feeling" with one of the contestants. For that, he had to make a choice.
Later, when The Golden Bachelor host, Jesse Palmer, asked Mel how he felt, he responded, "anxious."
"Anxious. A little nervous. I know what I have to do. It's not easy. And that's where the...the anxiousness and the emotions come in. You're going to their hometown. Meeting their families," added Mel.
The host responded that he didn't have to remind him what was at stake. After Jesse Palmer left for a bit, Mel sat there alone. He confessed to the cameras that it was the difficult part. He added that even moments before the Rose Ceremony, he had reservations. But he had to make a decision.
"What is the best fit for me? I even have reservations this second. I have to make a decision," added The Golden Bachelor.
Mel Owens' final three were Debbit, Peg, and Cindy, while Nicolle and Cheryl were sent home.
To remind fans, Nicolle was a yoga instructor from Florida, while Cheryl was a retired IRS employee from California. Cheryl was also the one who received the first one-on-one date of the second season.
While leaving, Nicolle told Mel Owens:
"When it doesn't work out with the one you pick, 'cause it probably won't, call me Okay? I mean that."
Additionally, she also told the cameras that even though Mel didn't choose her, maybe, the show would choose her. She was referring to The Golden Bachelorette.
