Dexter: Resurrection Episode 9 - Dexter’s darkest hour approaches, here's what might happen

Dexter: Resurrection has taken the franchise to a whole new level. This season, we see Dexter stepping into territory we’ve never seen him in before. He has joined a club of serial killers. To fit in, he’s assuming a new identity as Red. But in reality, he is the one who hunts killers. It’s a risky game and every move he makes could blow his cover. Then there is Leon Prater, the strange and wealthy man with a fascination for serial killers. He is curious and dangerous. And very possibly, a threat to Dexter’s mission.

Over the course of this season, Dexter has been taking out members of the club. So far, he has eliminated most of the targets. But there is still one left. Meanwhile, Dexter is also trying to be a good father. He wants to keep his son safe and maintain some semblance of a normal life.

Dexter: Resurrection Episode 8 pushed Dexter into deeper waters. His cover is in danger and Leon Prater is beginning to sense that Red might not be who he claims to be. Dexter: Resurrection Episode 9 - Dexter faces suspicion and Batista’s pursuit

Dexter: Resurrection Episode 9 is going to be absolutely intense. Nothing will be easy for Dexter now. Detective Angel Batista is not going to stop. He’s been tracking Dexter for a while and even though he reached the scene too late in Episode 8, he now knows exactly where the kill room is. Batista sees the setup, the kill table, the plastic clothing, and realizes the Bay Harbour Butcher is alive and active. He’s more determined than ever to catch Dexter even if no one around him believes that he’s right. So, Batista’s alone in his pursuit.

In Dexter: Resurrection Episode 8, we saw Leon Prater beginning to suspect that Red might not be who he says he is. In Episode 9, this suspicion will likely intensify. When Dexter takes Harrison out to dinner, Prater spots them together and says:

“Red, I didn’t know you had a son.”

Will Prater’s suspicions grow into a realization? Will Dexter be able to keep his cover or will his cover be blown? Charley has already hinted to Prater that something about Red is off. And that could make her even more vigilant. So Dexter now faces a dual threat. Episode 9 will test Dexter’s intelligence, patience, and instincts like never before.
