Dexter: Resurrection Episode 9 - Release and streaming details
Dexter: Resurrection Episode 9, titled Touched by an Ángel will be released on Paramount+ Premium on August 29, 2025, at 3 am ET/12 am PT. New episodes are also aired on Showtime (every Sunday) after they are released on Paramount+ Premium. Thus, cable TV viewers can watch Episode 9 on Showtime on August 31, 2025.
The official IMDB synopsis for the penultimate episode of Dexter: Resurrection reads as follows:
Prater and Charley reveal they know a critical piece of information, forcing Dexter to go to extreme lengths. However, as Dexter attempts to set up a meeting with Prater, Harrison finds himself further entangled.
With only two episodes remaining in Dexter: Resurrection, the stakes are very high for Dexter, and the final moments in Episode 8 hinted that Prater and Charley might have finally learned about our serial killer's true intentions. The synopsis suggests that Prater and Charley have the upper hand for now, and it will be interesting to see what new levels this will unlock for Dexter.
On the other hand, the title, Touched by an Angel, suggests that Batista Angel will continue his personal hunt for the Bay Harbour Butcher. While Wallace confirmed her suspicions about Angel in the previous episode, this will not stop him from hunting for the serial killer.
Dexter had a close call with Batista in Dexter: Resurrection Episode 8
Dexter: Resurrection Episode 8, titled The Kill Room Where It Happens, was a fascinating installment in the sequel, which saw two breakthroughs. Firstly, thanks to the tracker left by Batista in Dexter's car in Episode 7, he was able to track his serial killer's every move.
Dexter was determined to take out AI, the last killer standing from Leon Prater's serial killer club, and had also made all the arrangements for the same. While he was ready for a special kill table for AI, he somehow managed to escape, leading to utter disappointment for our killer. However, viewers expecting to see Dexter in some action were not disappointed, as he found another way to satiate his killer urges.
Dexter knocked off Elsa's landlord and brought him to his kill table. Just as he was in the middle of his act, he heard the click of the front door, and who was none other than Batista. Batista. Dexter acted fast and ran away just in time, but the tracker in his car brought Batista to his kill table. The retired detective noticed something on his table, which made him certain that the Bay Harbor Butcher is still active.
The episode ended with Harrison and Dexter having dinner, when Leon Prater and Charley barged in, hinting at an ultimate showdown between them.
Tune into Dexter: Resurrection Episode 9 on Paramount+ Premium on August 29, 2025.
