What happened in Doc Season 2 Episode 5?
In Episode 5 of Doc Season 2, two new cases are brought to the hospital. One is of a teacher named Jess, who is revealed to have Epilepsy. She also talks while sleeping, and all her bottled-up feelings come to the surface, mostly about her sister, Casey.
Casey asks Jake to convince her sister to quit her teacher's job, as it was adding to her stressful life, making her condition worse. Jake points out that another reason for her stress might be Casey herself, as she might be angry about living in her shadow. This is proved when Jess, while asleep, talks about how her sister takes everything from her, even her doctor, as she had been flirting with him since they arrived in the hospital.
The other case is of a couple who are on Ozempic. Sal suffers from a seizure due to his eating problems, and also reveals to his wife, Dawn, that he has been cheating on his diet. Not just Sal, but Dawn herself has not been following the diet, as she is found to be under-eating and abusing the use of Ozempic, which causes her to faint.
Elsewhere, Sonya has an uncomfortable meeting with her father, who was supposed to be the new donor to the hospital. However, when Michael talks to her about it, she reveals that it was her father's business partner's son, who s*xually assaulted her. But her parents' reaction has been dismissive as they don't want to talk about it. Michael advises her to deal with her trauma as it fits her, and she goes to confront her father.
Furthermore, Amy also gets closer to finding the truth behind Brian Clark's flashback memories as Katie gives her the snowglobe. However, it also brings some painful memories back for the latter.
