What to expect from Duster Season 1 Episode 8?
Being the finale, the episode, titled 66 Reno Split, will likely tie the majority of the loose threads in the story. The promo shows both Jim and Nina being under threat after the latter’s cover is blown. Ezra Saxton has learned about the real identity of the two. The finale will explore whether they are still able to complete their mission.
In the previous episode, Jim and Saxton drove to Las Vegas, with Luna secretly joining them. It turned out that Saxton’s mysterious million-dollar purchase was the famous smoking gun Watergate tape, which would later lead to President Nixon’s resignation.
Back in town, Nina cleverly used her charm to get more information from Royce about the Russians and the missing money. Meanwhile, Izzy refused to take bribes and stayed loyal to her fellow truckers, even as her health got worse.
Charlotte helped Wade with his fake story about knowing a Russian translator, and Luna proved she had both her parents’ strengths by defending the female truckers' protest. By the end of the episode, Jim learned the CIA might have killed Joey, and Billy discovered that Nina was an FBI agent, which set the stage for a high-stakes finale.
Duster stars Rachel Hilson as Nina Hayes, Josh Holloway as Jim Ellis, Keith David as Ezra Saxton, Sydney Elisabeth as Genesis Saxton, Camille Guaty as Izzy Reyna, Adriana Aluna Martinez as Luna Reyna, Benjamin Charles Watson as Royce Saxton, and Asivak Koostachin as Awan Bitsui.
