The first two episodes of Season 2 set the tone and setting for the season. Episode 3, titled 'Profligate,' brings Lucy, Maximus, and The Ghoul to the centre of the story.

Most importantly, it features the return of Thaddeus. In this Fallout Season 2episode, we see him running the Sunset Sarasaparilla bottling plant. He employs children (some ghouls) working nonstop for hours gathering bottlecaps, the currency of the Wasteland. Lucy, however imprisoned by Caesar's Legion after she tries to save one of the members. She eventually gets to see Legate Lacerta.

Here's what happened in Fallout Season 2, Episode 3.

Fallout Season 2 Episode 3: Lucy gets trapped in Caesar's Legion

The episode opens with Thaddeus and the children in the factory, but soon shifts to an imprisoned Lucy walking through the Legion's area. All she sees is torture and hardships. The guards bring both Lucy and the woman she tried to save to the masked leader. The woman begs for her life, but the man slids her throat. Lucy is then taken to another man, who introduces himself as Caesar. Lucy being Lucy starts with how historically inaccurate they are, and their traditions, too.

Of course, it does not sit well with the legion, and the Ceaser guy calls her a Profligate. He tells are there are at war with the New California Republic, the Khans, and the Brotherhood, but for now they need to conquer the unrepentant members of Caesar's Legion. He reveals the founder died, and the OG Caesar wrote down who he wanted to be the heir, but every time anyone takes it out, the false Caesar shoots at them.

Lucy offers to help them to reach a negotiation, but she's almost on the verge of getting crucified. She tries to school him, telling him it is America, but fails again. Turns out Lucy's methods of negotiating aren't working here.

Maximus encounters Harkness, and the two get along well as they share their annoyance at Quintus' plans. Harkness reveals that Quintus refuses to give him the cold fusion, and chaos might erupt once again. When Harkness notices some unauthorised activity on the radar, they set out to take it out. They enter an abandoned building, and robots fire at them. They destroy the robots with a super sledge. When they hear a noise, they find a child ghoul. It is Thaddeus' warehouse.

Harkness divides the children into two groups; human and ghouls. He begins to shoot the ghoul children. Thaddeus tries to save them, but Harkness does not listen to his plea.
