"Go back and check the tapes": The Challenge star Derrick spots discarded vegetables in the middle of a task

The Challenge Season 41 Episode 9 aired on September 24, 2025. The daily challenge featured various tasks that participants were supposed to complete. One of them was to consume the given raw vegetables.

Later on, in the middle of the task, some of the participants, including Derrick Kosinski, found vegetables scattered around. Seeing that, the rest of the cast members were not happy.

When Derrick came across the raw vegetables around the challenge area, his reaction was:

"You guys can go back and check the tapes on that one right there."

Later, in his private confession, Derrick added:

"I can't believe my eyes right now."

The Challenge Season 41 Episode 9: Discarded raw vegetables result in cancellation of the daily challenge

The recently released episode 9 of The Challenge featured a daily challenge titled "Broken Dreams." As the show host, TJ Lavin, announced, participants would undergo various tasks in the challenge. This included multiple checkpoints around a six-mile distance, a 7,000-foot climbing race, puzzles, and one eating task.

The eating part of the task had garlic, onion, and peppers. While going through the task, various participants arrived and moved further after eating the vegetables. However, later on, some of the contestants saw vegetables scattered around.

One of The Challenge stars, Michaela, noted, pointing to some vegetables on the ground, and said:

"That's not my onion, by the way."

Another cast member, Derrick, shared that the show makers could go back and check the tapes. Soon, they found more pieces of vegetables surrounding the area. Fellow participant Justin also voiced the issue as he shared:

"F*ck everybody that threw their f*cking peppers. I f*cking hate every single one of them. F*cking b*lls*it."

Aneesa pointed to some more vegetables and noted that there was a "whole f*cking garden" of vegetables.

"What a bunch of sorry motherf*cking cheating that bad with a full-size of something. Now we're cooked at the bottom," said Leonardo.

Further in the episode, Aneesa and Jonna also threw some of their vegetables among the scattered ones. In her private confession, Jonna said that it was clear that everyone didn't eat their vegetables. So, if that was how it was going to be, then she would take whatever penalty they all would face.

Fellow participants including America and Derrick advanced further by eating all their given vegetables. While finishing each bite of their portion, America talked about not wanting to disappoint anyone with such behavior.

She noted that it would be "so easy" to quit. But because she felt that it was a "privilege" to be there, she finished the task by eating all the vegetables from the given portion.
