Apple TV's The Morning Show Season 4 concluded on November 19, 2025. In the finale, Alex finally caught up to Celine's villainous activities after discovering she is the one because of whom their deal with the Russian Oligarch fell through. As the series had already been renewed for a season 5, we will get to see several changes in the character arcs of our beloved characters.

With Celine being gone, Mia and Ben are left to take care of UBN, with Ben becoming the Head of News at the network. However, the showrunner of The Morning Show, Charlotte Stoudt, also shared that Season 5 will see a lot more of the two characters who planned a supposed date at the end. While talking to Deadline, Stoudt teased that the future of Mia and Ben's relationship and their clashes will be explored more in Season 5 and said:

"It’s gonna get interesting between them. You’re right to pick up on [that]."

More on this in our story.

The Morning Show: Showrunner Charlotte Stoudt teases the future of Ben and Mia's relationship in Season 5

At the end of The Morning Show Season 4, Ben, played by William Jackson Harper, was made the head of UBN after Celine left. This will affect his relationship with Mia (Karen Pittman), who believes she is also a deserving candidate for the position. However, Stoudt revealed that the characters respect each other beyond their clashes of opinions, which will bring an interesting story in Season 5.

To add to her previous comment, she said:

"I still think [Mia] is a little like ‘That job really should have been mine.’ But I think there’s also a lot of mutual respect between them."

In Season 4, Mia helped Ben find out who messed up with Alex's AI and brought the reality of Celine in front of him. She also helped him in deciding whether to run Alex's interview, which would destroy Celine's image. While Celine asked him not to, as it would destroy her and the network's image, Mia convinces him to be a better journalist and reveal the truth, which he did at the end, and ran the interview. This moment also created a conflict between the duo, as Ben was always loyal to Celine and had to go against his own former boss.

Stoudt shared that, in The Morning Show Season 5, we will get to see more of this camaraderie between these two strong characters and stated:

"He wasn’t sure whether to throw his boss under the bus. And Mia was quite sure, so, yeah, I think they’re gonna do a dance together all season, definitely."

Along with Ben and Mia's story, the next chapter of The Morning Show might also see Alex and Bradley back in UBN after her release at the end of Season 4.

The Morning Show stars Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Mark Duplass, Billy Crudup, Shari Belafonte, and Hannah Leder, among several others.
