Kim So-hyun and Park Bo-gum's latest crime-comedy K-drama, Good Boy, returned with episode 4 "Float Like a Butterfly" on June 8, 2025. The series follows an unlikely squad of former Olympic champions turned police officers, determined to use this second chance to take down some of the most notorious criminals.

While Bo-gum plays the leading character, Yoon Dong-ju, he's joined by other former champions, including Han-na and three others. Together, these officers have formed a special crime investigation team at the Insung Police Department.

Although the commissioner originally saw them as nothing more than a publicity stunt, this group of so-called misfits refused to be used. Their determination has only grown stronger, especially for Dong-ju, whose cousin tragically died after being manipulated and tortured by Min Ju-young.

The customs officer has become their main target, and Dong-ju ensured to catch him in Good Boy Episode 4. Not only this, he saved Ji Han-na's life and proved that he won't stop until the very end.

Good Boy Episode 4 opens with a change in dynamics as Man-sik divides the Special Crime Unit into pairs. He paired Han-na with Jong-hyun and Dong-ju with Jae-hong, and Dong-ju is clearly frustrated. Why? Because he prefers working with Ji Han-na, the woman he’s been crushing on since the beginning.

Even though the team leader had already made the pairings, Dong-ju makes a bold move and slides into Jong-hyun’s car just as Han-na is about to get in. By doing this, he partners up with Jong-hyun, forcing Han-na to team up with Jae-hong instead.

It’s clear Dong-ju didn’t want to stand by and watch his crush team up with her ex-boyfriend. As the quest begins, the teams work on tracking down the hit men linked to Golden and Silver Bunny, who could potentially lead the officers to the main bad guy.

While Jong-hyun and Dong-ju work to find out Silver Bunny and the Korean Chinese guys, Han-na and Jae-hong are tasked with looking into Oh Jong-gu. While Dong-ju and Jong-hyun learned that the locals have been blackmailed if they speak anything about the Chinese guys, Han-na and Jae-hong confronted Jong-gu.

However, the team didn't get any solid clues, but they realized that the case is getting complicated. The mole in the police department is helping the criminals and continues to leak information.

In the middle of all this action, the show takes a quieter but deeply emotional turn. Han-na receives some disturbing crime scene photos, which seem to be linked to her father's mysterious death.

Officer Hwang Gyeong-cheol also mentioned that the culprit behind her father's death might be a Russian mafia, as Han-na's dad was in charge of the criminal's case. Han-na breaks down while looking at the crime pictures and remembers her childhood memories with her father.

The flashback scenes in Good Boy Episode 4 revealed that Han-na was a beloved child to their parents, and her father wanted her to follow her dream. She had an incredibly supportive father, and losing him broke her apart, as she doesn't seem to have a good relationship with her mother.

As the episode continues, the team finds out that a top car smuggler, Monkey, will take them to the car Ju-young used in the accident. So, they plan to steal the commissioner's car to attract Monkey and track down the place they're operating.

While Han-na and Dong-ju are covertly staking out Monkey’s men from their car, Dong-ju accidentally honks the horn, drawing unwanted attention. One of the smugglers begins approaching their vehicle, putting their cover at risk.

Thinking quickly, Han-na throws herself on top of Dong-ju and pretends they’re a couple in the middle of an intimate moment. Her quick thinking works as the man leaves, thinking there's no threat

This leads to a big fight between the officers and the smugglers, but Monkey ends up getting killed by a mysterious man. Jong0hyun tried to catch him, but the killer fled from the scene. When the car is found at the port, it is linked to Min Ju-young, the customs officer who is currently attempting to leave the country.

This introduces the episode's most exciting scene. Without any support, Dong-ju chases after Ju-young, even jumping over rooftops and eventually landing on the hood of Ju-young's fast-moving vehicle. Dong-ju is injured, but he doesn't give up.

He even risked his life to save Han-na, and then the team captured Ju-young and stopped him from fleeing the country. With Min Ju-young finally in custody, the squad is expecting him to confess to the crime and the murder of Dong-ju's cousin, Gyeong-il.

The preview of the upcoming Episode 5 also offered a glimpse into a new bad guy, Drug Demon, who's making money through deadly drug candies.
