The wait is over as Squid Game Season 3 will be available on Netflix on June 27, 2025. With Gi-hun’s fight to destroy the game and the Front Man’s effort not to let Gi-hun win, the final season of Squid Game is one of the most anticipated shows of the year so far.
Recently, Lee Byung-hun, who plays the Front Man, was the guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and shared some exclusive details about playing the popular character in Squid Game. When Jimmy asked if it was hard for him to act with a mask on, Lee Byung-hun stated that it was difficult and said:
"Yeah, I had to use my other senses, like a ninja."
He further added:
"Like Storm Shadow in G.I. Joe."
Byung-hun played the character of Storm Shadow, his other masked role in the movies G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and the sequel, Retaliation.

Squid Game's Lee Byung-hun shared several fun details about playing the Front Man and his family's reaction to it on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
Adding to his comment about acting with a mask on, he described it as a pigeonhole view. He said:
"It’s like a pigeonhole view. You can barely see. And if you go upstairs and downstairs, it’s very hard."
Then he talked about using his other senses, like a ninja. When Jimmy talked about how he might have to be extra careful about going downstairs with a mask on. Lee Byung-hun said:
"I had to walk naturally and regally."
In Squid Game season 2, Byung-hun did not appear much as the Front Man as he disguised himself as a contestant in the game until the ending, during Gi-hun’s rebellion. Therefore, in the final season, we might see him donning the mask and also confronting Gi-hun as the Front Man– one of the crucial moments of the final season that has been teased several times.

The final season of Squid Game will pick up from where it left off in season 2, as Gi-hun lost most of his people and his best friend. However, he wasn’t killed like some others, who helped him stand against the Front Man, and was sent back to play the game.
As shown in the trailer, this season of Squid Game will introduce new games, which will prove to be deadlier than before, raising the level of terror among the players.
Apart from Lee Byung-hun as the Front Man, Squid Game also stars Lee Jung-jae as Gi-hun and will bring back the surviving players of season 2, played by Im Si-wan, Wi Ha-joon, Park Sung-hoon, and Jo Yu-ri, among others.
