"He's my guy": Love Is Blind: UK star Demola opens up about his "long-lost" cousin Dotun Olubeko

Love Is Blind: UK star Demola interacted with his fans on and opened up about his cousin, Dotun Olubeko. Fans might know him from Dotun and his fiancée, Charity Lawsome, from The Bachelorette Season 20.

It happened when he posted an Instagram story, responding to one of the fans. The question was how Demola knew Dotun and Charity from The Bachelorette. Dotun also shared details via his Instagram stories on August 20, 2025.

Demola wrote that Dotun was his "long-lost" cousin. He said that the two met during his late teens and have been "solid" ever since.

"Dotun is my long-lost cousin, who I met for the first time in my late teens. Ever since then, we've been solid (and) had many adventures together. He's my guy, and, of course, Charity is his beautiful missus. I love them both," wrote Demola.

Netflix premiered Love Is Blind: UK Season 2 on August 13, 2025. One of the singles who appeared on the experiment was Demola. His initial connection with fellow cast member Katisha was strong. However, when she chose her other connection, Javen, it blindsided Demola.

Despite leaving the experiment single, Demola made many friends on the Netflix show. Ever since, he had been one of the popular cast members.

Recently, he interacted with his fans via Instagram stories. He posted "Let's talk then" story and was open to answering fan questions. One of the questions he was asked by fans was:

"How do you know Dotun and Charity from The Bachelorette."

Love Is Blind: UK star Demola responded that Dotun was his "long-lost" cousin. They had been on many adventures together, and he was his guy. Along with Demola, Dotun also shared more details via his Instagram stories on August 20, 2025.

Dotun wrote on his story and mentioned Demola, being on reality TV, and more.

"For those asking, yes, he’s my cousin. (We) met later in life due to living in different counties, but clicked right off the bat. Neither of us ever considered or seeked reality TV, but it found us both independently. Crazyyy how life happens."

Additionally, the recently released fresh batch of Love Is Blind: UK episodes featured Demola meeting Katisha for the first time. After Katisha and her fiancé, Javen, discussed her former connection with Demola, they decided for her to talk to Demola.
