What happened in Head Over Heels Episode 9? A quick recap
In episode 9, everyone in the school's archery team prepares for the inter-school competition, with the coach hoping for a gold medal from Gyeon-u. However, things become hard as Gyeon-u can now see ghosts, making him feel distracted.
At the same time, Yeom-hwa continues with her merging spell, and Seong-ah learns about it in time. She tries to merge her energy with Bong-su and Yeom-hwa to stop the evil from ruining Gyeon-u's championship.
Yeom-hwa's spell didn't work as she and Seong-ah ended up being cursed. On the other hand, Gyeon-u is also hurting and meets the great aunt shaman to help him out. She tells him that things have gotten really far and that no one, including him, Seong-ah, and Yeom-hwa, is safe.
She mentions praying to the Dieties of Seven Stars as they decide how long a human will live, and they are also the shaman's patron deity. While on the way to the shrine, Gyeon-u sees Beom and a suicide ghost following him.
However, he couldn't help him as Seong-ah's great aunt told him to be very cautious. At this time, Gyeon-u is as fragile as glass and must stay as far as he can from ghosts and ensure he does not lose blood or even get a small scratch.
Later in the Head Over Heels episode, Seong-ah tells Yeom-hwa that she has been seeing a box tied with a white cloth on her back. Yeom-hwa gives it a thought and realizes it is her baby's coffin, who is stuck inside it.
Yeom-hwa becomes incredibly violent and confronts her spirit mother about why she hid the truth. Yeom-hwa is hurt, and the spirit mother knows about it. That's why she has become evil and taken a dark path.
The next day, Seong-ah fell sick as she was also suffering due to the spell. Gyeon-u takes care of her. As the episode comes to an end, Seongh-ah realises that it's not Gyeon-u but Bong-su in front of him. When she asks where Gyeon-u is, Bong-su replies, "I devoured him," hinting he has consumed Gyeon's soul.

In the next episode of Head Over Heels, Yeom-hwa will try to summon the Grim Reaper. Bong-su meets her and asks how he can take full control over Gyeon-u and live his life as a human.
The evil is taking control, and Seong-ah must act fast to save her love. Fans can expect the episode to be packed with spirits, emotions, and Seong-ah's never-ending determination to defeat the evil.
