What is Her Last Broadcast: The Abduction of Jodi Huisentruit about? Details about the 1995 cold case
Hulu's latest docuseries, Her Last Broadcast: The Abduction of Jodi Huisentruit, features Jodi Huisentruit's cold case from June 1995, where she was abducted from her house.
On June 27, 1995, Jodi failed to show up to work for her regular morning program at KIMT despite getting a wake-up call from one of her producers at 4 am. By 6 am, there were no signs of Jodi, following which, one of her colleagues filled in for her spot in the program.
Alarmed by this unusual behaviour, Jodi's team contacted the Mason Police authorities and they reached her premises in Iowa. While the police found no traces of Jodi at her house, some evidence suggested that the woman had been abducted.
As featured in Her Last Broadcast: The Abduction of Jodi Huisentruit, the Mason Police found Jodi's car keys lying bent beside her vehicle and a partial palm print on her car's window, which suggested that somebody abducted Jodi while she was trying to get in her car. In addition, there was also a scatter of her personal belongings on the ground, including earrings, high heels, a blow dryer and hair spray.
While the police frantically tried to find any clue about Jodi's location, they failed. Despite new leads and many tips, Jodi was never found and was declared legally dead by 2001 (but the police could not find her dead body).
Her Last Broadcast: The Abduction of Jodi Huisentruit re-investigates the 1995 cold case with a fresh lead

Her Last Broadcast: The Abduction of Jodi Huisentruit revisits Jodi's cold case with fresh new leads and evidence. As June 2025 marked the 30th anniversary of Jodi's disappearance, one of her friends steps forward to reinvestigate her case and provide her the justice that she deserves.
As seen in the trailer, Hulu's latest docuseries will follow a new lead, which suggests that Jodi had a stalker before her death. In October 1994, nine months before her abduction, Jodi shared her concerns about her safety with her friends and also started taking self-defense classes.
She believed that somebody was keeping tabs on her and following her around in a white newer pickup. In addition, two days before her abduction, Jodi also played in a charity golf tournament at the Mason City Country Club, where she expressed concerns and was thinking about changing her phone number.
Her Last Broadcast: The Abduction of Jodi Huisentruit will revisit the case with this new lead and try to find answers to Jodi's abduction, from 30 years ago.
