House of the Dragon Season 3 is currently under production, and the eight-episode third installment of the Game of Thrones prequel is scheduled to premiere on HBO sometime in 2026. One of the strongest aspects of the show is its cast, and there are several updates regarding the same for House of the Dragon Season 3.
Till now, it has been confirmed that seven new cast members will join House of the Dragon Season 3, with several key cast members returning to their roles. The new additions include names like James Norton, Tommy Flanagan, and Dan Fogler, to name a few.

New cast members in House of the Dragon Season 3
Tommy Flanagan as Ser Roderick Dustin
Tommy Flanagan joins the cast of House of the Dragon Season 3 as Ser Roderick Dustin, who is the Lord of Barrowtown. His character is also known as Roddy the Ruin, and he is shown to have a large army consisting of savage Northern men at his disposal.
Flanagan has previously worked in projects like Braveheart, Alien vs. Predator, Galaxy Vol. 2 etc.
Dan Fogler as Ser Torrhen Manderly
Dan Fogler is a new addition in the third season of House of the Dragon and he will play the role of Ser Torrhen Manderly. He is Lord Desmond Manderly’s son and will also become the Lord of White Harbor.
Fogler has earlier worked in the Fantastic Beasts franchise, Balls of Fury, The Walking Dead etc.
James Norton as Ormund Hightower
James Norton is another new addition to the cast and will play the role of Lord Ormund Hightower. Season 2 had revealed that Hightower had helped Team Green by sending his army, and he will make an appearance in this season.
Norton’s other projects include Playing Nice, Little Women, Bob Marley: One Love etc.
Annie Shapero as Alysanne Blackwood
Annie Shapero, another new addition to the case, will play the role of Alysanne Blackwood. Also known as Black Aly, she is the aunt of Lord Benjicot Blackwood and her loyalty lies with Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen. She marries Lord Cregan Stark.
Shapero has previously worked in the mini-series The Narrow Road to the Deep North.
Other new cast members include Tom Cullen as Ser Luthor Largent and Barry Sloane as Ser Adrian Redfort.
