Netflix recently premiered Wednesday Season 2, the second installment of its supernatural comedy series, based on cartoonist Charles Addams' characters from The Addams Family.
The series stars Jenna Ortega in her breakthrough titular role, along with Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, and Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams in supporting roles.
While Addams' characters have been adapted across multiple media, including the highly popular 1991 film, The Addams Family, the Netflix series shines the spotlight on their eccentric daughter, Wednesday.
Since the family possesses supernatural and psychic powers, they were originally revealed to never age and have the same look in every iteration. However, the Netflix adaptation has debunked this theory, subtly suggesting the ages of several characters.
Wednesday Season 2 picks up after the summer break following the eventful Season 1 finale, which implies that the Addams family and all the other characters did not grow up much between the seasons.
A birthday cake in Season 1 suggests that Ortega's titular character and Enid are 16 years old in Season 2, making Pugsley 14 years old in the sophomore season.

Unlike many other adaptations, the titular character in Wednesday Season 2 is shown as a teenage girl who begins her first year at Nevermore in the show's debut season. While the series never explicitly mentions the characters' ages, there are subtle details that reveal the age of each character.
In Season 1 Episode 6, Enid and her classmates surprise Ortega's character with a birthday cake that says "Happy 16th birthday." This confirms that the titular character was 16 years old in Season 1.
The sophomore season debut confirmed that the titular character returned to Nevermore for her second year at school, after having an eventful summer, where she caught the Kansas City Scalper. This makes Ortega's character 16 years old in Wednesday Season 2, following her eventful summer break.
As for her cheery friend Enid Sinclair, since she is in the same year at the academy, it can be inferred that Enid is also 16 years old in Season 2. While the show has not explicitly mentioned Enid's age, she is approximately 16 to 17 years old, like her friend.
How old are Pugsley and the other Addams Family members in Season 2?
In the majority of The Addams Family adaptations, Pugsley is revealed to be two years younger than his sister, making him 14 years old in the Netflix series.
