1000-Lb Sisters' Amy Slaton recently got engaged to her five-month relationship, Brian. Since she has been busy thinking and planning her Asylum wedding. Such a decision, which involves a commitment, while Amy is moving forward without thinking, is another reckless decision she has made.

Over the years, there have been numerous instances where Amy Slaton has made reckless decisions. If she were to give a little bit more thought and think of how those choices could affect the lives of her family and herself, she might not have gone through extreme situations.

Another reckless decision was to go to the zoo, and being such a careless and irresponsible individual, that too while her kids were in the car. Not just 1000-Lb Sisters' Amy, but her boyfriend Brian, should have shown some maturity; if so, they would not have been arrested.

1000-Lb Sisters' Amy Slaton: A series of bad choices and immature decisions over the years

Amy's recent engagement to Brian Lovvorn was not her first reckless decision when it comes to getting married. The 1000-Lb Sisters star Amy has been married to Michael Halterman, in a similar way. Despite her family and friends' concerns about their short-term relationship, Amy didn't give it another thought.

Additionally, the second season of the reality show featured her pregnancy after her weight loss surgery. While she was advised to give her body some time to heal and rest, she conceived a pregnancy shortly after her surgery.

Viewers must have witnessed Amy's differences with her family members over time. It has been such a long time, and Amy fails to see that her family, especially her siblings, mean no harm, but are concerned about her. The TLC star has been quite the opposite to her family, in most matters.

The 1000-Lb Sisters' sixth season, among many incidents, was one of the key moments when she expressed her treatment as a child by her family members. While complaining about her family, Amy truly fails to see that it is her actions that have led her siblings to think such.

Also, there have been various concerns regarding Amy's living conditions over the years. Some viewers have even raised concerns about her kids' safety. Another instance was her May 14, 2025, Instagram clip where she and her fiance Brian shows their newest pet, a snake.

While she has two kids at home, and now she and Brian have a snake as their "pet," this clearly shows how both of them are making even more reckless choices. Despite Amy wanting to have such a dangerous pet, Brian should have advised her against it.

On top of that, Amy has also been planning a real haunted house wedding. Her sisters, Tammy and Misty, were shocked after learning about that. Amy's older sister, Amanda, after learning about an "Asylum wedding," told Amy that none of her siblings would join the celebration if that was Amy's plan for the wedding.

Their discussion also led 1000-Lb Sisters star to confess about how her family members have always been "ruining" things for her and not supporting her. Amy still fails to see that she is the one who's been making such choices, over the years, and she needs to see clearly, and let her family members help her see things.
