A new bombshell is about to stir up the dynamics in the Love Island UK villa. In a teaser aired at the end of the Thursday, July 17, 2025, episode, 26-year-old aesthetics practitioner and salon owner Angel was revealed as the next contestant to enter the show. Angel’s arrival is set to cause disruption, particularly for the existing couple, Lauren and Ty.
“I’d like to get to know Ty and see what he’s about,”
Angel said ahead of her entry into the Love Island UK villa. Her statement immediately pointed to potential tensions between her and Lauren, who is currently coupled with Ty.
Angel enters Love Island UK as the new bombshell
Angel, from Maidstone, describes herself as a “20 out of 10” and says she’s entering Love Island UK ready to turn heads. She shared that she has been single for a year and is joining the show in hopes of forming a serious connection.
“It’s an amazing opportunity to make new connections and have new experiences. I’m ready to make memories with someone, go travelling with them and fall in love,” she said.
Angel described her ideal partner as tall, dark, and handsome—with muscles, a great smile, and a good sense of humor. She added that she wants someone who’s family-oriented and “very needy” for her and said she’s not afraid to stir things up in the villa.
“Breaking up another couple? That is what’s going to happen, so it’s quite exciting really,” she said.
Angel’s interest in Ty may trigger a reaction from Lauren, especially given the backstory between the two. According to production sources, Ty and Lauren previously met during an unfilmed Love Island UK rehearsal week in May 2025. During that time, they reportedly became close and continued to see each other even after the rehearsal week ended.
Love Island twist: Angel's appearance in the upcoming episode
Angel’s full entry into the Love Island UK villa is set to be broadcast on Friday, July 18, 2025. A first look at the upcoming episode reveals that the Islanders are asked to guess which three boys Angel is interested in getting to know. The names selected are Ty, Cach, and Boris.
Once she enters the villa, Angel confirms whether those guesses are correct. The teaser also hints at a “savage” dumping in the same episode. ITV stated:
“But big decisions come with big consequences, and Angel’s choice has huge repercussions for the Villa.”
Harry flirted with Angel, asking if she liked mornings and suggesting it could lead to spooning. Angel smiled and said she enjoys being the little spoon. The conversation continues with Angel sharing how she forms attachments quickly:
“When I sleep with someone, I get feelings. So I can’t sleep with them because I’m just like ‘ah I’m in love.’”
Harry replies,
“We might have to hold off on that spoon in the morning then.”
As their chat ends, Angel asks if Harry wants to join the group, to which he responds, “No, I want to stay here with you.” Meanwhile, Angel's reappearance creates tension between Lauren and Ty, whose romantic history predates their televised time on Love Island UK.
A production insider revealed that Ty and Lauren are pretending to be strangers, but they had already hooked up during the show’s dry run and spent time together outside before joining Casa Amor.
