Yes, Chef! judge Martha Stewart opened up about her personal life and pets. She revealed having two kittens named Cinco and Mayo. Apart from those, she has a farm that contains a variety of animals.
The world-famous chef tries to establish a connection with her animals as soon as possible and does not mind trying unique methods to do so. Revealing the process and its reason behind doing so, Martha said that she gently bites her kitten on the face. This helps tell the little animals that they are now her children.
Explaining, the Yes, Chef! judge wrote in her blog post on The Boston Herald,
"As with all my new pets, I gently bit each kitten on the face. This is how I let my animals know that I am now their mother."
Yes, Chef! Judge Martha Stewart adopted two kittens
Last year in May, the Yes, Chef! judge had decided to bring home two kittens who were very young at the time. And like a routine, she gently bit them. Sharing an update in August last year, she said Cinco and Mayo had grown up but are still not fully comfortable and will take some more time to adjust to her farm. She wrote,
"My kittens, Cinco and Mayo, are getting bigger every day. They're still too young and too small to venture out in the rest of my stable, but they're adjusting nicely to life at Cantitoe Corners."
Martha has a farm outside of New York City where she keeps all of her animals and pets. The area stretches over 150 acres of land, and it lies in Katonah, New York. It is also dubbed as the Cantitoe Corners, as Martha had mentioned in her Instagram post.
She doesn't just have kittens, but also dogs and chickens, as well as Peacocks. Talking about her friendship with the same person on her blog last year, she wrote,
"All the dogs love being in the kitchen with me, especially when I’m cooking and baking — they’re always ready for whatever falls their way."
Other animals that she has on the farm are donkeys and horses. She has two grandchildren named Jude and Truman, and matching those, the Yes, Chef! judge named her stable donkeys as Jude Junior and Truman Junior.
"Like many animals, donkeys are happiest when outside where they can roam, roll, and play. These donkeys also bray quite a bit - one can hear them from across the fields. In the afternoon, the five are brought back into the safe and war stable, where they are groomed and fed.”
Yes, Chef! drops new episodes weekly on Mondays at 10 PM Eastern Time on NBC. These installments are later available to watch on Peacock the next day.
