"I don't know if this is my game anymore": Survivor 49 winner Savannah opens up about her Final Tribal Council experience

Survivor 49 winner Savannah Louie appeared for an interview with Mike Bloom on December 18, 2025. After winning the CBS show, Savannah opened up about her time with fellow contestants.

When she faced the question about the final Tribal Council and the final voting, she talked about fellow finalist Soph. Before the Tribal Council, Savannah felt confident. However, after learning Soph's answers, she thought that it wasn't her game anymore:

"Soph blew both of us out of the water. Like, every answer from her was just on the nose. She was nailing it. She was speaking so eloquently and confidently, and she made so many good arguments."

Savannah added:

"So, when Jeff was going to get the votes and everything, I'm like, shoot, I felt like I probably had this before Tribal Council started. But with everything that just happened over the past couple hours. Like, I don't know if this is my game anymore."

Survivor 49: Savannah recalls the final Tribal Council, Soph's answers, relationships with fellow cast members

During her latest interview with Mark Bloom, Survivor 49 winner Savannah reflected on her time on the CBS show.

After Mike asked about the final Tribal Council, Savannah shared:

"Honestly, I turned to Soph in that moment, and I'm like, Girl, I think you got this. Because, like the edit shows, like me, Sage and Soph, we all had really strong performances at Tribal Council."

She added that among the three finalists, Soph was the one who seemed more confident with her answers. After witnessing her conversation with the jury members at the final Tribal Council, Savannah felt that Soph was going to get the votes and would win.

Further, the Survivor winner talked about the jury votes and which ones surprised her. For her, it was MC who might have gotten a wrong impression of her during the game. She expected MC to see her as a fellow participant who performed well in physical challenges.

"And also, you know, I tried to steal her advantage. But I genuinely thought she might respect that kind of gameplay as someone who, in her own life, she's always going all out. So, that was my thinking for MC. I didn't realize like, how badly I had rubbed her like, the wrong way and everything," added Savannah.

Further, Savannah talked about what mindset and perspective she had before going into Survivor. She thought that she didn't need to have every single jury vote in the end. She wanted

She noted that she didn't need to have a unanimous vote at the end. It was not important for her. She wanted to do whatever it took to secure her win. She talked about how she formed various relationships with fellow cast members.

Savannah connected with Alex over work stuff. She also recalled connecting with Stephen after sharing about her work trauma with him. She added that each of those relationships was much deeper and different.
