Below Deck Down Under Season 3 Episode 17 aired on May 26, 2025, on Bravo. The show concluded with the crew sharing their goodbyes. After bidding their farewell to the captain, they all left.
Before leaving, Chief Stew Lara discussed with Tzarina, the head chef. After Lara mentioned she felt tension between her and Tzarina, she was confused. She recalled Tzarina's speech, in which she mentioned how "amazing" Chief Stew Lara was.
Tzarina said that she meant that. However, Lara mentioned that Tzarina didn't have her back. Listening to that, Tzarina confessed to the cameras that she was "done."
"I've been fighting for Lara's approval all season. I'm done. If you don't want to be my friend, that's absolutely fine. I'm more than happy to avoid the cool girl click," confessed Tzarina.
Below Deck Down Under's Lara and Tzarina had a conversation before their departure
While everyone was getting ready to depart, Below Deck Down Under's Lara and Tzarina had a conversation. Lara told Tzarina that she felt "confused" from her speech.
In her speech, Head Chef Tzarina stated that Lara was an "amazing Chief Stew" and that she handled it "so well."
"So, I felt like there's still tension between us. Like last night, I just felt a bit confused. You kind of made that speech to me. I'm an amazing chief stew and I've handled it so well," said Lara.
Tzarina agreed and said that she had handled everything well as the Chief Stew. However, Lara said that she felt it was "completely different" from what Tzarina had told her.
She recalled feeling she wasn't doing a "good job" and because of that, she was in a "dark headspace":
"But I feel like that's completely different to what you were saying to me. You made me feel like I wasn't doing a good job and it put me like a really dark headspace."
Listening to that, Below Deck Down Under's Tzarina said she didn't know how to respond. She added that she said whatever she needed to say in her speech. In her private confession, Tzarina said she had been "fighting" to get Lara's approval throughout the season. But if she didn't want to be friends, she was "done."
Later, talking to fellow crew members, Lara shared about her conversation with Tzarina. She mentioned that it felt like the "end of an era." While saying goodbye to the Captain, Lara stated that being there was "the best" experience of her life and that she was "really grateful."
She confessed that the current season of Below Deck Down Under has been the "hardest thing" she has ever done. She also said that she would try and do her best.
