"I'm very independent": Love Is Blind: UK stars Bardha and Jed discuss being the "driver" in their relationship

Netflix released the second batch of Love Is Blind: UK Season 2 episodes on August 20, 2025. Social Experiment's episode 5 featured engaged couples navigating their connection with their partners.

One of the couples was Bardha and Jed. The two went on a date while getting to know each other. They talked about being the "driver" in their relationship and wearing the "trousers. Soon, they learned that they both had dominant personalities.

Bardha confessed to the cameras that Jed was not ready to take her lead. She also told him that she had been "very independent" and she liked to get things done in her own way.

"I think Jed is not ready to let go of being the man of the household, but I'm very independent. I like to get things done my way. So, yeah, there's gonna have to be room for two."

Love Is Blind: UK Season 2 Episode 5: Bardha and Jed share their thoughts on being the "man of the house"

The latest Love Is Blind: UK Season 2 episode saw various dates between engaged couples. Bardha and Jed went on their date and enjoyed off-road driving. Jed told her he couldn't believe that he let her drive, to which she responded:

"Get used to be. That's how the rest of our relationship's gonna go."

Later, the two sat down and enjoyed drinks while they talked. Bardha opened up and told Jed that it felt "nice" to show him her other side. She mentioned taking the lead.

Listening to him, Jed asked her:

"So, in previous relationships, were you the driver? Were you wearing the trousers?"

Bardha said 100%. He said that he wasn't built that way. He liked to care for his woman and wanted to make sure she was "all right." Love Is Blind: UK star Badha responded that she didn't feel like she had to be taken care of.

"Don't get me wrong. You know, I didn't feel like I had to be. It's just how I am as a person, so...It's easy for me to just make decisions quickly, take the lead, and just move on. I don't really like to leave things lingering," she said

Jed asked her how she would feel about him being the "dominant" in their relationship. Bardha told him that it would take her some time. The reason was that she was used to doing everything on her own.

Agreeing with him, Jed said that they both would have to get "used to" that with each other because both of them were "very strong" and independent people.

After their conversation, Bardha confessed her thoughts to the cameras. She talked about herself being "very independent." She also said that she liked to get things done her way.

The two cheered to the "beginning" of all of their adventures.
