Amidst the dangerous war between Harrigans and Stevensons, Paramount's MobLand introduced another major player in Janet McTeer's Kat McAllister.

The veteran actress debuted as a mysterious and fearsome character in Episode 7, who stops Seraphina Harrigan's execution with just a phone call.

After losing his wife and son at the hands of Harrigans, it was time for Richie Stevenson to take his revenge, which he did by teaming up with Jaime LoPez. The duo was successfully able to execute Conrad's son, Brendan Harrigan, as the family was forced to watch via a live stream.

But just as Jaime was about to execute Seraphina, Harry pulled out one of his old contacts, Donnie. He transferred him to a mysterious woman on a private jet, and she changed Richie's whole game with a single click.

Seraphina Harrigan was about to become another casualty in the war between Harrigans and Stevensons in MobLand Episode 7. But thankfully, Harrigan's fixer Harry fixed things at the right moment.

More on Kat McAllister and her mysterious ties in MobLand in our story.

I think Kat McAllister's mysterious and powerful aura in MobLand might have ties to the CIA

Harry always having a trick up his sleeve at the last moment is nothing new. However, the fixer's latest trick introduced another major player in MobLand, Kat McAllister. If you thought Harrigans and Stevensons were dangerous, this woman single-handedly put them to shame and changed Seraphina's written fate in a click.

After Harry realizes that it might be too late to save Seraphina from Jaime, he calls his emergency contact, Kat, for help. Kat's one phone call to Jaime is enough for Jaime to switch sides. He immediately stops Seraphina's execution and betrays Richie Stevenson on the spot.

While Jaime betraying Richie was no surprise, as he is a corrupt cartel owner, Kat's involvement in his decision was intriguing. Considering the powerful aura in Kat's introduction, MobLand is surely setting up her as a powerful character, and I believe she will somehow be related to the CIA.

While we do not know anything about Kat yet, I have reason to believe that she might be connected to some higher-up government agency. Considering she was reading some financial documents, we can believe she is loaded and likely a corrupt CIA agent, in cahoots with the cartel (like Jaime's).

It is no surprise that there are suspicions about the CIA being in bed with the cartels. Since the CIA cannot stop their operations, they form secret and illegal partnerships with the cartel, a symbiotic relationship. The CIA would not step in their way as long as they direct their business to serve their purposes.

Since Kat and Jaime were on a first-name basis, she could be a corrupt CIA agent working with his cartel, which would explain her influence on Jaime.

I think Kat holds the key to Harry's past in MobLand

Another aspect that makes Kat's character so intriguing in MobLand is her connection to Harry. She was influential and familiar not only with Jaime and Donnie but also with Harrigan's fixer.

After she uses her influence to stop Seraphina's execution, she says Harry is now in her debt, which suggests that the two had worked previously, too.

While MobLand is currently focusing on Harry's efforts to diffuse the ongoing war, there is much more to his history than the show lets on. His training and strategic thinking suggest he was also once connected with a government agency, where he might have met Kat.

He tracked down a person based on his regional tattoo and can take down a whole warehouse full of henchmen, which suggests that he has had military training in the past.

With Kat's introduction, we might find out more about Harry's past and how he met this mysterious figure.
