"I want the opposite": Married At First Sight star Brittany opens up about wanting a love different from her parents' relationship

Married At First Sight Season 19 premiered on October 23, 2025. The first episode of the reality show introduced singles and their potential matches.

One of them was Brittany. She opened up about her requirements and traits she was looking for in her future husband. While sharing more about family and her role models from a relationship, Brittany confessed about her parents' relationship.

Married At First Sight star recalled growing up with her parents. However, she noted that she had never seen them expressing affection of any kind to each other.

"I grew up in a two-parent household. But my parents never showed affection to one another while they are married. I've never seen them like, hug, or kiss, whatever my parents were, like, I want the opposite, obviously, in a respectful way," shared Brittany.

On Married At First Sight Season 19 premiere, fans witnessed new singles joining the experiment. One of them was Brittany. Her potential match that relationship experts chose was Will.

One of the relationship experts, Pastor Calvin Roberson, noted that he could see Will pulling from what Brittany was giving, and her pulling and learning what Will was giving.

Another expert, Dr Pepper Schwarz, noted that Brittany and Will could build traction together. It was because they had already built traction individually. Brittany had a house and financial stability.

"And Will is very much at a point in his life where this is his next step. And he's a ready guy, you know, he's thinking about these things. I think this could be really great marriage," added Dr Pepper Schwarz.

While talking to the experts, Married At First Sight star Brittany faced the question about her role models concerning marriage. She noted that she had never seen her parents being affectionate to each other. So she was, respectfully, looking forward to what her parents had.

On the other hand, her match, Will, about whom she was yet unaware, also opened up about his parents' relationship. They got divorced when he was 12.

"But my grandparents, they've been together for 30+ years, and that is the goal, like, that's what I want, that's what I'm looking for. That is gonna be forever," added Will.

Brittany also talked about seeking a partner who was committed to having a mature relationship. She noted that she was looking for someone ambitious. Later, she also shared her personality and traits.

Both of them, when asked during their session with the experts, about kids, said they were open to it. Brittany noted that she thought she would be a great mom.
