The Boys Season 5 will see Homelander at his most dangerous and unhinged yet, as he hasn't stopped being ambitious even after becoming the de facto ruler. Karl Urban revealed what the villainous Superman pastiche wants to be a God in the fifth season. He confirmed this early this month at the Tokyo Comic-Con panel. The official logline for The Boys Season 5 reads:"In the fifth and final season, it’s Homelander’s world, completely subject to his erratic, egomaniacal whims. Hughie, Mother’s Milk, and Frenchie are imprisoned in a “Freedom Camp.” Annie struggles to mount a resistance against the overwhelming Supe force. Kimiko is nowhere to be found. But when Butcher reappears, ready and willing to use a virus that will wipe all Supes off the map, he sets in motion a chain of events that will forever change the world and everyone in it. It’s the climax, people. Big stuff’s gonna happen."What did Karl Urban say about Homelander in The Boys Season 5? View this post on Instagram Instagram PostKarl Urban and Jack Quaid appeared together at the Tokyo Comic-Con to promote the final season of the acclaimed Prime Video dark superhero satire. Urban "spoiled" what we can expect from Homelander's storyline in The Boys Season 5. Confirming Homelander's aim to be worshipped in the upcoming season, Urban said:"At the beginning of the season, Homelander's goal is to become a god. He's going to rule the world & the only people that can stop him are Butcher and The Boys."Urban further continued teasing that a substantial portion of The Boys Season 5 deals with the team reuniting after spending two seasons apart:"However, The Boys are in prison. So, first of all, we need to get the gang back together. And then, we spend the whole season trying to stop Homelander. You're in for a crazy, wild, fun ride. Let me tell you, nobody is safe. Nobody. It's going to be fun."Jack Quaid also hyped up season 5: View this post on Instagram Instagram PostJack Quaid, who also participated in the panel, did not reveal anything from the upcoming season, but he did hype it up. Quaid teased that fans will be happy it is going to end:"We can’t give too much away, but I will say I’m very happy with the way everything wraps up. I think Eric Kripke and our writers did an incredible job bringing an end to this amazing story. I think fans will be very, very happy with how it all turns out. I found that [Season 5] is one of my favorite seasons to shoot, and that’s saying something. Oftentimes, that’s the last season, but this one really was incredible."Quaid further continued:"I think it’s because I very much took the time to look around and appreciate the people I was working with. It’s not every day that you get to be covered in blood and inside of a Whale, or any of the other weird and incredible stuff that we do in the show. I know I’m never going to be in the position where I’m in a superhero orgy ever again. You know what I mean? I needed to take that in while it lasted. I think we just made an incredible season. I know it’s very vague, but I can’t say anything, or they will kill me. You have a lot to look forward to."The Boys Season 5 will stream on Prime Video on April 8, 2026. Binge the previous four seasons and two seasons of Gen V on the OTT platform.
