If Vincenzo Season 2 ever happens, it definitely needs to follow this road map

Vincenzo Season 2 has been a hot topic since South Korean A-lister Song Joong-ki introduced fans to the sharp-suited mafia consigliere, Vincenzo Cassano. The K-drama arrived in 2021 and followed the story Park Joo-Hyeong, whose life and name changed after he was adopted in childhood.

With Song Joong-ki being an adored actor (thanks to his role in Descendants of the Sun), it was obvious that his show wouldn't fail. However, little did anyone know that Vincenzo would become a global hit and that fans would crave a Season 2 even years after it aired.

By the time the finale aired, fans were already asking: Will there be a Season 2? So far, there’s no official announcement. However, if it ever happens, the creators have a golden opportunity to build on what worked — and avoid what didn’t.

As seen in the first chapter, Cassano was an antihero and offered an intriguing mafia-style justice mixed with heartfelt moments. This is how it stood out from typical K-dramas, focusing on unexpected alliances and dropping lighthearted scenes.

If a potential Vincenzo Season 2 follows the right path, it could be even more explosive and satisfying. Want to know how? Keep on reading!

The gold isn’t just gone — It’s the perfect setup for Vincenzo Season 2

If Vincenzo Season 2 ever gets made, it should stick to the original, smart, and fan-pleasing formula. Cassaono was shown as a stylish, cold, and cunning consigliere (Mafia lawyer). The balance of charm and brutality in the character made it the cherry on top.

So, Season 2 should not water him down or make him too emotional. Vincenzo should remain that savage, clever, and morally gray character. This, though, isn't all that a new chapter can explore.

Vincenzo Season 2 can resolve the gold mystery or start a new one. If any of the hidden gold remains, that should be a major threat. Cassano did not leave with all the gold, instead, he put it under the care of Hong Cha-young and the Geumga gang.

Vincenzo returns to Malta, where he’s still a wanted criminal, and hints that one day, he may come back (possibly for the gold or revenge). If Song Joong-ki's hit drama gets greenlit for Vincenzo Season 2, the gold (or its consequences) could easily become a major plot again.

Vincenzo Season 2 must bring back the Geumga squad with even higher stakes

Before coming to Korea, Vincenzo helped Wang hide the gold and knew the full layout of the vault. After Wang’s death, the lawyer secretly returned to Korea intending to retrieve the gold for himself.

But here's the catch: The building had since been taken over by various small businesses and tenants who refused to move out. Initially, he planned to evict the stubborn tenants for the gold, but gradually got attached to them.

As the series progresses, these quirky and seemingly ordinary tenants reveal surprising skills. From hacking to fighting, they could do it all, and this is how they became Vincenzo Cassano's found family, popularly known as the Geumga squad.

They didn't just team up to get the gold out of the building, but also fought the Babel Group as it was troubling the tenants. These characters made the dark plot more entertaining.

Their unexpected team spirit was a hit. So, Vincenzo Season 2 should reunite the gang and maybe even level up their skills for more dangerous missions.

While the gold and the Geumga squad’s comeback are exciting, Vincenzo Season 2 has the potential to go far beyond just that. As seen in the first chapter, the Babel Group was a tough opponent.

But Season 2 needs an even more terrifying villain. Maybe an international mafia, corrupt political powers, or even someone from Vincenzo's own past in Italy. This will also allow the show a dive a little deeper into his life in Italy and people related to his past.

Additionally, Vincenzo and Hong Cha-young had undeniable chemistry. A potential Vincezo Season 2 can continue their love story in a satisfying and subtle way. At the same time, an international setting would raise the stakes in Season 2 if the lawyer gets pulled back to Italy.
