On the surface, Ironheart, the latest Disney+Marvel series, looks like a tech-based series, but that couldn't have been further from the truth. This six-episode Disney+ miniseries may have wider-reaching ramifications for the future of the MCU, especially the supernatural side of the series. That's because Parker Robbins/The Hood might be linked to the devil of the Marvel Universe, i.e., Mephisto.
The final acts of each of the first three episodes of Ironheart show that there's something suspicious about Parker Robbins. In the first episode, we see that John, Parker's cousin, is branding a tattoo on the latter's back for a mysterious reason. In the second episode, the purpose of the tattoos is to hide the mysterious scars spreading on his body. These scars are probably the cost of using the supposed cursed hood.
In the third one, we see the silhouette of a demonic entity, showing Parker how John died: Riri killed him. As of now, the identity of the demonic entity is uncertain, but the internet is ablaze with rumors of the mysterious entity being none other than Mephisto, supposedly played by Borat's Sacha Baron Cohen. If Sacha Baron Cohen's secret role happens to be Mephisto, then Ironheart might have wide ramifications for the supernatural side of the MCU.
Why would Mephisto be involved in Ironheart, though?

The reason for Mephisto's probable involvement in the miniseries is the mystical hood that we see Parker wear. The magical hood allows Parker to turn invisible when he holds his breath. However, using the hood has a probable side effect, though: it corrupts him. Plus, it might be because of using the Hood that the yet-to-be-explained scars spread on his body.
Another possible explanation of the scars is that the Hood possibly belongs to Mephisto. And the scars spreading over Parker's body are just the effect of the King of Hell slowly corrupting him and taking his soul as part of the deal in exchange for the hood. References to this tech company, Artworks, and its CEO, Arthur Robbins, can be found throughout the first three episodes of Ironheart.
Theories are circulating that Parker Robbins made a deal with the devil just to get back his father, who probably abandoned him. If the series does include Mephisto, it might finally set up the long-gestating Midnight Sons project, a team that also includes characters like Blade, Doctor Strange, Ghost Rider, and Moon Knight.
Ironheart also sets up Doctor Doom in this way:
Two weeks ago, Marvel released a trailer that teased something interesting that happens in the series. Riri manages to use magic as a source of power for her armor, mixing science and magic. This is something Doctor Doom is known for doing in the comics, as he is adept in both science and magic. This is something executive producer Ryan Coogler spoke about to Deadline at the premiere:
"It's so crazy to be putting this movie out now, at a time where AI is on everybody's mind [...] when the MCU's gearing up, and we didn't know it was going to be Doctor Doom and the Avengers, in a different story. But he's the guy, in publishing, who's most famous for fusing technology and magic, so it's a great sample of things that are coming. It's probably going to be the biggest movie in Marvel history."
