Is Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 the last of what we are getting of Charlie Cox? The actor reveals

Recently, a clip of Charlie Cox saying that Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is the final one went viral. Cox said this a month ago, in July 2025, at GalaxyCon. Now, at London's For the Love of Fantasy event, Cox further clarified what he meant in July when he said that Born Again Season 2. Comicbookmovie.com asked Cox for clarification, which he offered.

While this time, he did not give a big quote regarding what he meant, at the July 2025 GalaxyCon panel, he did contradict his previous statement he made there. Thus, for now, it looks like Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 might not be the series's last. However, it should be noted that nothing is confirmed for now. Therefore, for now, we have to wait for more official details.

What did Charlie Cox say about Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 a month ago?

As mentioned before, Cox was a part of New Orleans GalaxyCon in July 2025. In this panel, the British actor was asked by a fan what Cox's favorite Daredevil Costume was from both the original Netflix show and the Disney+ revival Daredevil: Born Again. To this, the actor signaled at the Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 suit. Cox's exact words were:

“The one [the leaked black suit] that we just finished with in Season 2 of ‘Born Again,’ I think, is my favorite, for a couple of reasons. One, because it is bad-ass, but also because every suit that we’ve had so far, in some way, is represented in the comics. But there’s something that we do in this final season that doesn’t exist in the comics. So, it is unique to our show.”

We can hear the words "final season" at the 35:42 minute mark of the video. As for the suit, Cox referred to, here's what it looks like:

A fan took this specific moment and asked Charlie Cox's Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 co-star, Vincent D'Onofrio, whether it was the final season on X (formerly Twitter). To this, the Kingpin actor responded, "Good chance there will be a third". D'Onofrio, the next day, said that he spoke with Cox and revealed that at the end of the conversation, they both agreed Born Again Season 3 is still a possibility.

D'Onofrio believes that Cox misspoke when he referred to Born Again Season 2 as the final season.

What do we know about Daredevil: Born Again Season 2?

The second season began filming in New York in February 2025 and concluded in July. Thus, it looks like the series will make it to the March 2026 release date. Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 showrunner Dario Scardapane confirmed that the series concluded filming through an Instagram post on July 10, 2025. The said post had a caption which read:

For now, Born Again Season 2 doesn't have many details, but we do know that it has a March 2026 release window.
