The third season of Jeopardy! Masters is nearing its finale, and fans are now adjusting to a sudden schedule shift. ABC has confirmed that the final two semifinal games, originally scheduled to air on Tuesday, June 3, will now air on Wednesday, June 4, instead.
The updated lineup means viewers will get a two-hour marathon of Jeopardy! Masters content on Wednesday starting at 8 pm ET, followed immediately by the one-hour season finale at 9 pm ET. The official Jeopardy! X page confirmed the change on May 29, stating:
“Did someone say Double Jeopardy!? The two-hour season finale of #JeopardyMasters premieres Wednesday, June 4 on ABC and stream next day on Hulu.”
No formal reason for the schedule adjustment has been provided, but fan speculation includes conflicts with other network programming. Semifinal Game 3 will feature Victoria Groce, Isaac Hirsch, and Juveria Zaheer.
The lineup for Game 4 is yet to be confirmed, depending on the results of Game 3. On Tuesday, June 3, a rerun of the first two semifinal games will air in place of new content.
Final four contenders and key stakes ahead of Jeopardy! Masters semifinals 3 and 4
Four contestants remain in contention for the $500,000 grand prize as Jeopardy! Masters enters its final stretch. Returning Masters champion Victoria Groce leads the current scoreboard with 6 points after winning two semifinal games on May 28.
In her first victory, she scored $20,001 against Yogesh Raut and Juveria Zaheer. Her second win came later that day with a total of $18,801, defeating Yogesh and Isaac Hirsch.
Victoria Groce, originally a one-game champion in 2005 who defeated 19-game winner David Madden, returned to the franchise with multiple high-profile victories. She won the inaugural Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament in 2024 and the 2023 Jeopardy! Masters title.
Yogesh Raut currently stands at 2 points. He previously won three games during his 2023 run and later won the 2024 Tournament of Champions. Raut was a finalist in last year’s Jeopardy! Masters.
Isaac Hirsch, a nine-game winner in 2024 and finalist in the 2025 Tournament of Champions, remains at 0 points ahead of Semifinal 3. Juveria Zaheer is also yet to get off the mark. Zaheer, who was eliminated in her first game in 2022, returned to win the 2023 Second Chance Tournament, the 2024 Champions Wildcard tournament, and was a finalist in the 2025 Invitational Tournament.
The two semifinal games, airing on June 4, will determine the three finalists. The final round will then air immediately afterward in a one-hour episode. According to the Jeopardy! website, the “Finals” section remains greyed out as of now, indicating that the matchup for the last round has not yet been determined.
Players already eliminated from Jeopardy! Masters include Neilesh Vinjamuri, Adriana Harmeyer, Brad Rutter, Roger Craig, and Matt Amodio. Prize money for all contestants is pre-assigned based on finishing rank. Vinjamuri, Harmeyer, and Rutter each received $15,000 for placing ninth, eighth, and seventh, respectively.
Craig earned $50,000 for finishing sixth, and Amodio received $75,000 for fifth place. The fourth-place finisher will earn $100,000, third place will take home $150,000, the runner-up will earn $250,000, and the champion will win $500,000.
Jeopardy! Masters Season 3: Structure explored
Jeopardy! Masters Season 3 differs from traditional Jeopardy! in several ways, starting with its structure. Each hour-long episode features two full games. This season expanded the initial contestant pool from six to nine.
The first three episodes, comprising six games, eliminated the bottom three players. The next three episodes consisted of six quarterfinal games, reducing the contestant pool from six to four.
Now in the semifinals, four contestants are competing in four games across two episodes. At the end of this round, one contestant will be eliminated, and the remaining three will advance to the final.
Match points, rather than total money, determine advancement in Jeopardy! Masters. A win in a game earns 3 match points, second place earns 1 point, and third place yields 0.
Points reset at the start of each new round. In the event of a tie in match points, Jeopardy! uses a series of tiebreaker metrics: the number of games won, cumulative correct responses for the round, cumulative score excluding Final Jeopardy! and Daily Double wagers, and finally, cumulative score excluding Final Jeopardy! alone.
The structure encourages consistent high-level performance across games rather than a single dominant showing. This format has introduced new strategies and forced contestants to focus on accuracy and consistency throughout multiple appearances.
Fans can stream Jeopardy! Masters on Hulu.
