Justice on Trial, Prime Video’s new courtroom docu-series, will premiere on July 21, 2025. Judy Sheindlin's Justice on Trial will consist of eight episodes that will air on the same day. As the name suggests, the docu-series will focus on the trials of several popular US cases that have changed numerous lives and will cover topics ranging from free speech to education policies.

Judge Sheindlin will present the cases to give the public a better understanding of the justice system and law, and how lawyers, judges, and everyone involved in these eight cases, including the public, were impacted by the verdict at the end.

Justice on Trial: Release date news and streaming details

As mentioned, Justice on Trial will be coming to the streaming platform on July 21, 2025. All eight episodes, consisting of eight different landmark cases, will drop on the same day.

The docu-series will be streaming on Prime Video. If you want to watch Justice on Trial, you can take the Amazon Prime membership, which costs $14.99 a month, and enjoy the legal docu-series with several other Prime Video shows such as Rings of Power and the Bosch spinoff, Ballard.

The logline of Justice on Trial, as per Prime Video, states:

"The daily lives of 340 million Americans are impacted by the verdicts in the eight landmark cases that the series explores."

The eight episodes will showcase eight popular cases by depicting the trial transcripts, reenactment of the case, and several other details that will make the viewers understand the cases and decide for themselves whether the verdicts were correct.

About the upcoming show, Judge Judy shared:

"Judges do not make law. They interpret the law. Judges are people. Sometimes they get it wrong. Then what happens? When and how long will it take to get it right? I’ve put justice on trial."

She continued:

"I couldn’t be more proud of this series. Everybody who watches it will come away a little smarter. Mission accomplished."

From free speech, withholding evidence, to policies around education for children, Justice on Trial will delve deeper to dissect more about these questions through these eight cases.

Other than Judy Sheindlin, who is also the creator and EP of the series, Randy Douthit, Casey Barber, and David Carr are also part of the docu-series as producers.

Additionally, as per IMDb, the docu-series also stars actors who will be involved in the reenactments of the scenarios and includes Garon Grigsby, Marcus Hanson, and Danny T Miller, among others.
