The test also brings Andy into suspicion as he had the same strain of HIV as Jeffrey.

3) Michael Beach as Bronx A.D.A. Andy Abbott

In Episode 5, Michael Beache's Andy and his wife were at the centre of the case. He was accused of killing Jeffrey and was also accused of having an extramarital affair with Jeffrey behind his wife's back. The SVU squad and ADA Novak used various tactics to convict him of the crime.

4) Diane Neal as ADA Casey Novak

Neal's character was crucial in the episode as she put in line her job to get the truth out. She revealed to Mary about her husband's affair and HIV diagnosis, and tried to convince her to help her make Andy confess to what he has done. This resulted in disciplinary action taken against her by Andy's lawyers.

5) Bethany Butler as Mary Ellen Abbott

Butler portrayed the character of Mary, Andy's wife, in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Season 5, Episode 20. She becomes the main part in the case and is used by Novak to get the truth about Jeffrey's death from Andy's mouth.

Butler has appeared in the daily soap As the World Turns and a film called The Killing Floor.
