The first clip of Wonder Man is out and is as exciting as ever

The first clip from Marvel's Wonder Man series features a scene of Simon Williams and Trevor Slattery engaging in banter as they exit a movie theater. Williams is an up-and-coming actor, whereas Slattery is a washed-up one.

In this 53-second clip, Trevor Slattery talks about his experience of watching Raw Shakespeare Company's 'Timon of Athens' production. He calls it 'sublime.' But Slattery, while watching the play, reveals that he was in an inebriated state.

When Simon Williams asks Slattery about what he is currently involved in, he shares something crucial that will eventually change Williams' life completely. Keeping the condition of confidentiality, Trevor reveals that he is auditioning for an upcoming ambitious feature film about Wonder Man.

As soon as Slattery attempts to cut the conversation and exit, Williams stops him and inquires more. He finds out that an acclaimed filmmaker named Von Kovak is directing the film. After revealing information about the director, Trevor Slattery departs, and Simon is left ruminating about it.

This clip acts as the seed of the story, a point where all the rest of the events sprout from. In this meta, sardonic scene, involving two actors engaging in a typical actor-type conversation, both are hungry for work and are looking for opportunities in the industry.

In the role of Trevor Slattery, Ben Kingsley has appeared previously in Iron Man 3, All Hail the King, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

In the original Marvel Comics, the superhero has been in existence since 1964, in The Avengers #9. His journey evolves from being a supervillain to a superhero as he allies with the Avengers. The character is penned by Stan Lee, with Jack Kirby and Don Heck bringing him alive through visuals.

This series is the first live-action series that explores the story of the Marvel hero.
