Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is a major crossover event that will also tie up the cliffhanger ending of the season 1 finale. Season 2 is just one of the five MCU projects next year, with Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers: Doomsday promoted as must-watch crossover events.

Will Jessica Jones be in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2?

Only Jessica Jones is confirmed for Born Again Season 2 as of now. But Luke Cage and Danny Rand/Iron Fist are also rumored to appear. The Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 finale ended with Mayor Fisk's major victory. He successfully banned vigilantes and enacted a curfew on the city. But the closing minutes also offer a sense of hope.

The season 1 finale sets up a resistance to Fisk's regime led by Daredevil. Not a part of Matt's army are Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. Jessica Jones' inclusion in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 has fans believing that she will be a part of Matt's resistance. Born Again EP Sana Amanat's recent comments in the Empire interview suggest that Jones might not want to join Matt's army:

“[Jones] isn’t necessarily a team-up kind of person. So the reason she’s back is because it feels like it’s very personal. She brings edginess and lightness — Daredevil can be very dark and dramatic, and she cuts through the BS in a really fun way.”

Going by Amanat's quote, Jessica Jones would likely be key to uncovering the information that will bring down Fisk's regime and empire in the MCU show. This also suggests that Born Again Season 2 might be just as epic as other 2026 MCU projects, such as Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers: Doomsday.

Jessica Jones' return has also led fans to believe that Marvel Television has finally managed to incorporate the entire Netflix Marvel Universe into the MCU. According to them, the crew of season 2 is intentionally keeping Luke Cage and Iron Fist a secret. However, it should be noted that Iron Fist and Luke Cage's roles in Born Again Season 2 are not confirmed.

Sana Amanat describes making Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 as "liberating":

Marvel has highlighted that Daredevil: Born Again Season 2's production was smoother than that of the first season. Amanat reiterated this sentiment in the Empire interview:

“The landscape was open, and that was so liberating. We were like, “We can do whatever we want.’”

This sentiment is similar to the one Jesse Wigutow expressed in an October 2025 interview with Collider. When asked if he thought that the second season was better than Daredevil: Born Again Season 1, Wigutow responded:

"I do. We are in the process. It's so fresh in my mind. I'm looking at cuts and thinking about, “What can we improve?” I think it's a singular vision in a way that Season 1 is not. Season 1 is, to your point, not hodgepodge, but it was jigsawed together."

Wigutow further added:

"We came up with a new pilot and we came up with a new finale, and that's kind of what you're speaking to there, the clarity of those two things, which I thought worked, and I think Season 2 has the same. There is clarity of vision. The showrunner has been awesome and really has a point of view that we've executed on. Nothing's perfect, but I do think Season 2 is quite good, and I think it's going to be very satisfying."

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 streams on Disney+ on March 4, 2026.
