My Girlfriend is the Man opens with a man in a white hoodie, approaching Park Yoon-jae and handing him Kim Ji-eun's identity cards. When Yoon-jae questions, the young man replies that he's Ji-eun, the girlfriend.
Yoon-jae thinks this is quite an unusual joke, and refuses to believe him. The K-drama then jumps into what exactly happened before Ji-eun became a man. It's revealed that Yoon-jae is an Astronomy major while Ji-eun is a Korean major at Yeonhui University.
The two met after a confusion with names on a blind date, and Yoon-jae fell for her at first sight. Since then, the two were madly in love with each other and supposed to enjoy an overnight trip to stargaze.
Kin Ji-eun was incredibly excited and wore a sleeping mask before going to bed. The next morning, she woke up shocked — in a charming man's body. Her elder sister also had goosebumps on discovering this, but they remembered this was a generational trait in the family and had happened with their mother.
Episode 1 of My Girlfriend is the Man is full of heartfelt and humorous moments, and Episode 2 delivers just as much. Yoon-jae tries to adjust to Ji-eun's transformation and waits for her to return to her original form.
