Oh My Ghost Clients Episode 6 recap: The custodians refuse to back down

Episode 6 of Oh My Ghost Clients started on a grim note as the University officials locked the custodians out of their lounge and destroyed all their signboards of protest.

Elsewhere, Hui-joo informs her sister that Mu-jin is in prison for conducting the protest and also tells her why she likes Mu-jin more than her, as he had helped her when Mi-joo was busy with her studies and her life. Mi-joo then goes to get him out of jail, and the two go out to eat.

While they eat together, we get a glimpse of the duo’s early days when they were together. Mu-jin brings her favorite cone ice cream, which makes Mi-joo happy, but she does not let Mu-jin see it. The meetup showed that they still care for each other and remain a family.

Oh My Ghost Clients Episode 6 recap: the formation of a union

After Mu-jin comes back, he sees that the University is trying to make the custodians more helpless and suggests that now a labor union might be the only way to save them. Since they don’t want to go back to how they used to live, they ask Mu-jin to help them make a union for custodians.

With registrations and voting, the union is formed, and Oh Jang-geun becomes the first chair. They then began the negotiation process with the university, which looked like the university was not at all thinking of granting any of their demands; hence, the deal fell through.

They went to protest again, but this time the University used their students to break the spirit of the protesting custodians. They arranged a meeting with three student representatives and the custodians, where the students asked them to stop protesting, as it is hampering their studies. They also tell them that if they don’t stop, they might also sue them.

This does hurt them as they thought the students might have understood their problems, but since they can’t go back, they try to appeal emotionally by sharing personal stories to gain the students’ support. When none of them were willing to write their story, Yeong-suk asks if she can write hers. And by possessing Mi-joo, she writes her story.

However, they found out that students didn’t care as they wrote hurtful messages on post-its and glued them on the notice board where Yeong-suk’s story was posted. This becomes the final nail in the coffin as the custodians decide to stop the strike as they find out even the students of the university don’t care about them. They go back to taking their difficult tests.

Oh My Ghost Clients Episode 6 recap: Gyeonjjang TV goes viral

Halfway through episode 6 of Oh My Ghost Clients, the trio find Mu-jin’s mother packing everything up since they won’t continue protesting. They try to convince her not to give up, but she argues with Mu-jin as she doesn’t want her son to get sued. Just then, three students appear and tell Mu-jin’s mother to keep going on as they support the protest.

They also tell them that most of the students didn’t know about the weird tests they were forced to take; otherwise, more of them would have supported them. Therefore, they wish them luck and promise to post about it online so that more students can support them.

This gives the trio an idea to livestream the test that is supposed to take place so that more people can find out what the custodians have to go through to keep their jobs. They give Gyeon-u’s camera-equipped glasses to Mu-jin’s mom so that she can help in live streaming everything from the exam hall. As they begin live streaming, more students, even alumni of Hankuk University, see the difficult question paper that the custodians are given, and also how the manager humiliates them when they get a low score.

Gyeonjjang TV goes viral as the University begins to get calls from its alumni and the press, to know more about what is happening in the University. At the end, students and alumni alike come out in support of the custodians. The students take part in the protest, and the alumni talk to the University to abolish the unjust tests that the custodians are taking.

In a press conference, the University president announces that all of the demands of the custodians will be taken care of, and also they won’t be required to take any such tests anymore. Yeong-suk finally finds peace as her co-workers can now do their job without any hindrance.
