The penultimate season (Season 7) wrapped its finale in January 2025, and after nearly a year of Droughtlander, fans are finally set to witness the epic conclusion to Jamie and Claire’s love story.

Starz has released the official synopsis for Season 8 of Outlander in an official press release:

“Jamie and Claire find the Revolutionary War has followed them home to Fraser’s Ridge, now a thriving settlement that has grown and flourished in their absence. With new arrivals and changes made during their years away, the Frasers are confronted with the question of what they are willing to sacrifice for the place they call home and, more importantly, what they would sacrifice to stay together.''

The final season will directly follow after the events of the penultimate season, which saw Jamie and Claire heading home to Fraser's Ridge. While the couple decided to leave the war for America's freedom, a personal war will follow them at home. Amidst family secrets and new (and old) intruders, the final season will see Jamie and Claire's fight for survival and their struggle to keep their home at Fraser's Ridge.

As for Brianna and Roger, Outlander Season 7 suggested that they will likely settle with their parents in the 18th century. The final season will likely see their reunion with Jamie and Claire, following a final decision to stay in the past for good.
