Perfect Match Season 3: What happened during the show's finale?
The finale of the Netflix reality show featured the final five couples. Show host Nick Lachey announced the final compatibility challenge, Match Point.
For the challenge, he asked the five couples a series of questions. Girls and boys, made to sit separately, had to note down their answers. Those whose answers did not match would be eliminated from the challenge.
The game would continue until two couples remain. Then, the rest of the participants would vote for one of those two couples.
Questions included:
- What is your partner's birthday?
- Where did you and your match first kiss?
- What's the flow that your man has, but one you can live with?
Everyone's first answer was correct. The second question saw two couples give incorrect answers: Madison-Freddie, Rachel-Ray. These two couples were eliminated from the game. Sandy and Louis's third answer didn't match, and hence they lost.
Two couples who advanced further on Perfect Match Season 3 were:
- Daniel-Lucy,
- AD-Ollie.
"Those two couples are still in play to be voted the perfect match," announced Nick.
Those with the unmatched answers were eliminated. The show host then told everyone to head to the boardroom, one by one. They had to choose the couple they wanted to win the show.
Some of the participants, including Louis and Alex, voted for Lucy and Daniel. Others, including Juliette and Clayton, voted for AD and Ollie.
Everyone cheered when Nick announced Lucy and Daniel as the winners. He announced that the two had won a paid week-long trip to help their connection grow further.
Perfect Match star Ollie, who was one of the two finalist couples, confessed to the cameras:
"Am I disappointed? A little bit. I would have loved to have won. But genuinely couldn't be happier for Daniel and Lucy. I hope they have an amazing vacation together and an amazing future."
He added that AD was the girl of his "dreams" and he had "plans." He said that he was going to marry her. As everyone congratulated Lucy and Daniel, the winning couple talked about their vacation.
The two mentioned they would be going to Fiji as they had talked about it quite often. They both shared that they were "super" and "incredibly" happy.
