View this post on Instagram Instagram PostThe seventh episode marks a change for Carol as she is far more upbeat and cheerful throughout the first act of the episode. As mentioned earlier, Manousos is also the secondary protagonist of this episode. The previous one ended with him leaving his town and driving towards Albuquerque. This episode shows him struggling to refuel the car.As Manousos approaches the Darién Gap, he realizes the car needs to be left behind. He instead hikes through the dangerous path that has poisonous trees and snakes. At one point, Manousos loses his footing and impales himself on the spikes of the poisonous chunga palm tree. He cauterizes the wounds with his hot machete. But that may not have been enough as Manousos collapses the next morning.A hive-minded medic comes to Manousos's rescue, and that's the last we see of him in this episode. The episode then cuts back to Carol, who realizes how lonely she really is. In the closing minutes, she paints a message in front of her home for the hive-minded people to come back. Zoisa comes back to Carol's home, resulting in the latter hugging her.Looks like the Apple TV sci-fi series is more than just about survival:Pluribus differentiated itself from other apocalyptic sci-fi dramas by having the transformed people be genuinely kind to the survivors. Carol has been rude and mean to the turned people since the beginning. She even crossed a line in the last act of the fourth episode, "Please, Carol", resulting in the hive-minded people leaving her alone in Albuquerque. However, the closing minutes of this episode show Carol reunite with Zoisa, hinting that she is ready to evolve and look at these people differently. This setup hints that this apocalyptic drama is about co-existing rather than just surviving, like HBO's The Last of Us or The Walking Dead.Catch Pluribus Epsiode 7 on Apple TV before the penultimate episode streams next week.
