What happened in Poker Face Season 2 Episode 5?

In the previous episode of Poker Face Season 2, Charlie Cale found herself in the middle of another murder case. After leaving a paper company job where she worked alone, Charlie ended up at a minor league baseball park. She got hit in the head by a baseball, which led her to her next mystery.

The Montgomery Cheesemongers, a local team, had been losing the league ever since their star pitcher, Russ Waddell, lost his speed. After another bad game, Russ found out that fans were making money by betting against the team.

He and some teammates decided to do the same. They planned to lose five games in a row and win millions from the bets. Things went as planned until a new pitcher, Felix Domingo, joined the team before the final game. The team tried to mess him up by putting drugs in his gum, but it backfired as Felix played even better.

However, the team still managed to lose. After the game, Felix figured out their plan and asked for all the money. In a fit of rage, Russ threw a ball at him and accidentally killed him. Then he tried to cover it up by making it look like an accident with a pitching machine.

Charlie, who had taken the same gum and had crazy visions, started putting the clues together. She tricked Russ into throwing another superfast ball, proving he still had his speed and that he had killed Felix.
