Pro Bono follows an ambitious judge named Kang David, who falls from his higher position in the legal field of a judge to later become a public interest lawyer. He, with the help of a group of other lawyers, then begins to use the money earned by taking cases of big companies and help the people who need it.

1) Jung Kyung-ho as Kang David

Jung Kyung-ho plays the character of Kang David in the latest K-drama. David is introduced as a judge with a clean image, and also for his spot-on job as a judge. However, due to an unexpected and shocking incident, he loses all of it and has to become a public interest lawyer in a non-profit organization. Through this new position, David tries to help people who cannot afford lawyers due to a lack of money.

Kyung-ho is known for his role as Kim Jun-wan in the acclaimed K-drama, Hospital Playlist. Along with it, he has also appeared in Oh My Ghost Clients, Crash Course in Romance, Prison Playbook, and Crash Landing on You, among various others.

Joo-yeon portrays Park Gi-ppeum in the K-drama. She is described as a compassionate law expert who puts all her efforts into bringing justice to her vulnerable clients. After David becomes a public interest lawyer, Gi-ppeum and he join forces to help the people who actually need it.
