Slow Horses Season 5 release schedule: When do new episodes of the Apple TV+ series drop?

Slow Horses Season 5 is coming soon to Apple TV+. The show is counted among the greatest spy dramas of recent times. Based on Mick Herron’s novel series Slough House, it revolves around a team of MI5 service rejects who investigate cases and protect Britain from major threats.

The main cast members, including Gary Oldman, are returning to entertain the audience in the fifth season. In the new season, the team has a new challenge at hand with the arrival of a suspicious woman who happens to be Roddy Ho’s girlfriend.

Since Apple TV+ does not release entire seasons of its shows at once, fans are wondering when new episodes of the espionage thriller will come out. So here is all you need to know about the release schedule of Slow Horses Season 5.

Slow Horses Season 5 release schedule

Keeping up with the previous installments, Slow Horses Season 5 will comprise six episodes. The first two episodes, Bad Dates and Incommunicado, will be released together as part of the season premiere on September 24, 2025.

The rest of the season will follow a weekly schedule, and one new episode will come out on subsequent Wednesdays. The finale, Scars, will be released on October 22, 2025. The complete release schedule is given in a tabular format below:

The season is based on London Rules, the fifth book in Mick Herron’s novel series. It will revolve around the team of MI5 rejects as they get suspicious of tech nerd Roddy Ho’s new girlfriend after a series of strange events start happening in the city. The official synopsis of the season reads:

“In season five of Slow Horses, everyone is suspicious when resident tech nerd Roddy Ho has a glamorous new girlfriend, but when a series of increasingly bizarre events occur across the city, it falls to the Slow Horses to work out how everything is connected. After all, Lamb knows that in the world of espionage, the London Rules — cover your back — always apply.”

The season stars Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb, Kristin Scott Thomas as Diana Taverner, Christopher Chung as Roddy Ho, Jack Lowden as River Cartwright, Hugo Weaving as Frank Harkness, Saskia Reeves as Catherine Standish, Rosalind Eleazar as Louisa Guy, and Aimee-Ffion Edwards as Shirley Dander.
