Peacemaker Season 2's last episode pushed the plot forward in a lot of interesting ways. But one of the most surprising moments from the fourth episode released this week was the closing moments, which showed fans something interesting about the character of Michael Rooker's Red St. Wild, an eagle hunter. Fans first met him in the third episode of this season, Another Rick Up My Sleeve.

But he played a larger role in this week's episode as we get to see his Red St. Wild in action. He was introduced as one of the world's best eagle hunters, which is why A.R.G.U.S. hires him to take down Peacemaker's pet bald eagle Eagly. While Eagly manages to make it out alive in this Peacemaker Season 2 episode, it has some wondering if there is something special about Chris's pet bald eagle.

As mentioned earlier, Peacemaker Season 2's fourth episode saw Red St. Wild battle it out with Eagly. The eagle hunter could've even killed Eagly had it not been for the subtle and unsung heroism of John Economos. As St. Wild is about to take the fatal shot at Eagly, John knocks out the eagle hunter. Luckily for John, the hunter doesn't realize who knocked him out and buys the lie that Economos tells him.

After regaining consciousness, Red St. Wild tells Economos that Eagly, according to him, is the "prime eagle". He goes on to tell John a legend that by killing the prime eagle, St. Wild could right the wrongs against the Native Americans. While John doesn't buy any of it, the closing minutes of the episode reveal something shocking: Red St. Wild engaged in a mystical ritual.

This ritual is the DCU's first glimpse of magic. Using this ritual, Red St. Wild manages to locate Eagly at Peacemaker's hideout in the Settler's Hill. While some may not take Red St. Wild seriously, magic recognizing Eagly may hint that there is something special about Eagly. It also explains Eagly hugging Christopher Smith in the first season. This moment sets up a lot of interesting storylines for Peacemaker Season 2.

The second half of Peacemaker Season 2 promises to be wild:

The second season of Peacemaker deals with the multiverse. Unlike the MCU, where multiversal travel until now has been due to magic, the DCU is different because Peacemaker Season 2 confirms that multiversal travel in this universe is possible due to the QUC or Quantum Unfolding Chamber. James Gunn teased that the QUC will be important for this upcoming season of the HBO Max DCU series in a May 2025 Entertainment Weekly interview:

"You've seen what we call the QUC, the Quantum Unfolding Chamber, in the first season of Peacemaker, and we see more about that technology in Superman. The QUC is the center of the story in Peacemaker season 2... We see a lot of different characters from Superman in the [season], [including] Isabela and Nathan and Sean, and then we see a bunch of other characters later on in the season from other parts of the DCU and from Superman. There might even be one really, really, really big cameo near the end of the show."

Four episodes in, countless theories are floating across the internet regarding the upcoming episodes. It should also be noted that the reason why the second season continues to be in conversations weekly is that while the press and some influencers were given access to the first five episodes, the last three ones are secret until their respective release dates.

When asked for the reason behind this secrecy, DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn said:

"It could mean they're terrible [laughs]. That is one option. Or it could mean that there's a lot of major twists and turns in the last three episodes. And even though I'm sending the first five to a select few, things still get out as you know. Things got out already. You know, people who want to search can be spoiled on purpose, but I really don't want what's in those last three episodes to be spoiled. And so I'm keeping them close to the chest. I won't even let my publicist see them. That's the god's honest truth"
