Farmer Wants a Wife Season 3 concluded on May 22, 2025. One of the farmers from the Fox show, John Sansone, appeared on Jason Tartick's podcast on May 26, 2025.
The latest episode featured farmer John Sansone opening up about the show, deals, brand endorsements, and more. When the host, Jason Tartick, asked John if he had been able to "do deals," John said very few.
John Sansone then said that he wanted to stay "humble" and shared what happened with him:
"Honestly, I got to just say this because I got to stay humble as much as I can, but I...it's my fault, quite frankly. Like, I'm not gonna say who, but a brand approached me. And I was like Oh, this is insane. I can't believe this brand's reaching out to me."
Farmer Wants a Wife star added:
"So, I went on ChatGPT, and I'm like, here's my followers. Here's my engagement. How much do you think I should charge? And they said ($) 1700. I was like, that's a lot of money. So, I charged that, and then I found out I could have been charging ($)18-20k."
Farmer Wants a Wife: John Sansone opens up about brand endorsements, farming, his grandfather, and more
During the podcast, the host, Jason Tartick, asked John Sansone if he was getting any brand endorsements and deals.
"Very few. Very few. And not enough to really call it a profit," said John.
Responding to how much he has made through the deals, John told the host that he would laugh at John's answer. He said it was ($)3200. Listening to his answer, the host told John they had to talk about it, and they laughed.
Sharing more about that, John revealed how, after a brand approached him, he asked ChatGPT about the pricing. After the search results showed, based on his followers and engagement, that he should charge around ($)1700, he went with that.
Later on, Farmer Wants a Wife star learned that he could have been charging a lot more than that.
As John mentioned what happened, the podcast host told him he missed a zero. He then mentioned how ChatGPT can't get relevancy, PR power, community, ability to trend, and more. He told John that he would "get there" and that he was there if he needed help.
Further in the podcast, Jason Tartick told John that he had many "farmer questions" related to wheat farming, soy, corn, and more that he wanted to ask.
He asked John what his expertise was in farming.
"Yeah, I mean, I'll just give it to you straight up, and which is exactly what I did with the executives over at Fox, and this is exactly what I did on the first episode (of Farmer Wants a Wife.) I'm about as...I'm enough of a farmer for them to cast me on the show, but in reality, my grandfather is still living on our family farm. That's been in our family for five generations."
John recalled his grandfather's great-grandfather coming from Germany and settling in New Hamburg, Missouri.
Fox is now streaming all the episodes of Farmer Wants a Wife Season 3.
