Special Forces: World's Toughest Test Season 4 Episode 4 aired on October 16, 2025. The latest episode, titled, Mind Set, featured the remaining 14 participants.
There was a height challenge to strength contestants' mental strength. Later, they went through another task featuring tunnels and trenches. They were tasked with destroying designated targets with the grenades.
One of the recruits, Andrew East, couldn't finish the task and was disappointed. On the other hand, another recruit, Johnny Manziel, opened up about his inability to complete the task. He chose to leave the competition after the unfinished task.
The official synopsis for the latest Special Forces: World's Toughest Test Season 4 Episode 4 reads:
"The recruits must focus as they plummet down a 330-foot drop, then at the bottom, they must recite a set of coordinates which they were asked to memorize prior to the drop; the recruits are challenged to navigate through tight tunnels and trenches."
Special Forces: World's Toughest Test Season 4 Episode 4 Recap: Contestants face a height task followed by grenades and tunnels
The latest episode of the Fox show started with a height challenge. The goal was to test participants' mental strength. For the challenge, recruits had to rappel down a 300-feet wall. Sharing more about that, agent Rudy Reyes noted that making a leap at a height takes the "nerves of steel."
"Making a leap at height takes nerves of steel. You must control your fear and your descent to get the job done," he said.
While going down to safety, participants also had to memorize the coordinates they were given earlier. Nick Young was the first one to go. He failed as he forgot his coordinates.
Up next were Ravi Patel, Brianna LaPaglia, Johnny Manziel, and more. They all finished the task and also remembered the coordinates. Andrew East faced issues while rappelling down and also forgot the correct coordinates.
Later, in the Special Forces: World's Toughest Test, Ravi Patel was called for questioning because of his frequent jokes and humorous comments. When Jason "Foxy" Fox told Ravi about him spouting off "way more" than he should in that environment, he responded:
"I never want to be disrespectful. That's not what I want to put out. But when we're doing these challenges, I have been dialing it in."
He also shared the hardest situations he had ever been in. It was his newly born daughter's demise a few days after her birth. Listening to Ravi, DS empathized and told him that he needed to step up.
Further on,Special Forces: World's Toughest Test episode, there was another challenge. For that, contestants went through tunnels. After they were divided in the two groups, they were tasked with destroying the targets using grenades.
Johnny Manziel's team was lagging behind after they couldn't find their way out. As a result, he disqualified himself from the competition.
"My biggest struggles within myself is just giving up at times. You know, losing that battle mentally. And that's been something that's been a weakness for me, for sure," he confessed to the cameras.
Additionally, Andrew East had a chat with the DS. He reflected on the challenge he had failed earlier. He shared his disappointment in himself for being unable to succeed in the challenge.
However, DS told him to be proud of himself for being the leader. Seeing him still going through self-doubt, DS told him he was Mr. Self-Doubt and advised him not to overthink.
