The camera follows a man in a fishing truck who enters a protected area and dumps a dead body in the ocean, and utters a prayer. This chilling scene may initially seem unrelated, but it turns out to be a crucial clue as the story unravels.The scene shifts to Choi Kyung-koo in a parking lot, where a young woman called Maria asks him for help. Later, we find out that Maria has an adopted eight-year-old sister called Park Da Som, who was scammed out of 98 dollars when she tried to buy a pair of leather gloves for her sick father from a resale app. Kyung-koo tries to give money, but she refuses to take it. She asks him to find the scammer responsible for this.Kyung-koo, instead of informing his team, single-handedly tries to find the scammer. He disappears for a week, leaving the team worried. They take her to a hospital, and when she regains her senses, the victim narrates a chilling tale of how the scammers ruined her life. When Do-gi insists that they share details of the scammer, they give them the contact details, which turn out to be Kyung-koo's. Yes, they tried framing him.Go-eun tries to trap the scammer with their own methods. The scammer falls into the trap, and it finally leads to the arrest of a young lad posing as a concert ticket seller. It eventually led to the arrest of three others, all of whom were working for a boss they had never met in person. The teenagers also revealed that they took orders from their boss, whom they referred to as the General Manager.In the end, we see the true mastermind behind the scamming network, who adopts a puppy and then shoots it with a plastic bullet for fun. Turns out this isn't his first time hurting the animals, as we can decode from the several collars on the floor. Soon, the general manager calls the teenager who's currently tied up in the Rainbow Team's office, and he informs him that he's leaving the country for a better-paying job. The teenager also informs that the GM will be posting a new job opportunity. Go-eun applies to it, posing as a talented hacker, and she gets the job.Turns out the scammers work from a study centre, and they employ teenagers to work for them. Go-eun tricks the general manager with the concert ticket trick. She pretends to sell it, but when the general manager hears it, he demands that she transfer the money to him. Go-eun refuses and quits the job.Out of rage, the general manager tries to do the same trick with Go-eun that he did with the pregnant woman. He orders food deliveries to her address, but Go-eun accepts the deliveries and pays for them. This angers the general manager, and he tries to confront Go-eun in person. But Go-eun easily overpowers him, and he flees. Back at his home, he informs his superiors about a malware attack and that he exposed himself to one of the employees. The superiors tell him that a package has been sent to solve the situation.Before he can react, Do-gi arrives and knocks down the scammer. They then discover all sorts of scamming goods in his room. They collect the items and try to return them to the owners. When the scammer comes back to his senses, he says that he had been simply following orders from his bosses, called the pros. Thus, he isn't the mastermind but an employee of the scamming network. The scammer gets a package, and just as he opens it and sees a power bank, it explodes, killing him. Do-gi rushes out, but all that he can see is a speeding fishing truck.Remember the fishing truck shown in the opening scene of Taxi Driver Season 3, Episode 11? When Do-Gi and Sung-chul finally arrive at the island, they find out that the islanders are not quite welcoming to the mainlanders. They then proceed to a temple and notice a police officer writing a complaint. Do-gi notices something unusual about the lanterns. As they return to their car, they find a man inside asking for a lift to the town. He introduces himself as a photographer. Both Do-gi and Sung-chul feel that something's off about the photographer.Later that night, a fisherman brings a bucket of fish to their room. Sung-chul questions the manager about the intrusion, but the person brushes it off casually. The next day, they see the fisherman, the police officer, and the photographer on the boat trying to escape to the mainland. Do-gi wastes no time and goes to the temple, where he finds fake government IDs, burner phones, and a mysterious pen with markings that suggest that the mastermind behind this is someone well-connected and powerful.The camera shifts to Kyung-koo, giving Da-som the pair of leather gloves (the ones she was scammed out of). The young girl calls Kyung-koo her hero and rushes to her father to give him the gloves.
