Fox's crime drama series, The Cleaning Lady Season 4, wrapped up with an intense two-episode finale on June 3, 2025. Episodes 11 and 12 of The Cleaning Lady Season 4, titled Killer Queen and As Time Goes By, deliver high-stakes drama, including betrayal, a prison showdown, and a brutal act of revenge.

Previously, in the penultimate episode of The Cleaning Lady Season 4, Thony was put behind bars after Jorge revealed details about Rex's murder. This move left the fake cartel wife stunned, especially since she believed Jorge was possibly in love with her.

Here's a breakdown of the pivotal moments of The Cleaning Lady Season 4 finale and how Thony's choices would redefine the future of the series.

Did Thony bury Ramona alive in The Cleaning Lady Season 4 finale?

The episode begins with Jorge barging into the interrogation room, interrupting Joel Hermann's investigation into Rex's murder. Jorge then thanks Thony for putting an end to the cartel war with the Hellers.

He goes on to explain how Heller's people had planted evidence (Rex's family photographs) against Jorge. Before leaving the interrogation room, Jorge proceeds to tell Joel that Thony cannot be convicted with fake evidence.

Thony, however, has to spend weeks in prison after Sam Heller manipulates her case. As she enters the cell, she comes to know about Ramona's queen-like influence in the jail. She wastes no time and informs Fiona about this.

Meanwhile, Cheryl, Thony's prison mate, informs Thony about Ramona's plans to kill her. Thony sneaks in a pair of scissors to attack Ramona in the shower, but Ramona knocks her down instead.

Meanwhile, Jorge finds out that DA Thornfield was the mole who planted the evidence against him and was sneakily working with the Hellers. Jorge kills Thornfield by drowning him in a hot tub, making it look like a suicide. Joel Hermann becomes the new DA, and he files a notice for Thony's release.

In the prison, things turn chaotic as a riot breaks out, letting Ramona escape. In the prison hospital, when Thony comes to know about Ramona's true plan of attacking her son Luca, she wastes no time and sneaks out of the prison. Ramona kidnaps Luca and Violeta from their school.

When Ramona learns about Thony's escape from the prison, she devises a plan to kill her—she asks Thony to come to a site with Luca's medicine. Even though Jorge knew that it was a trap, Thony insisted on meeting with Ramona. When Thony finally reaches the site, Ramona forces her to get into the grave and reveals her plans of raising the children as her own.

When Ramona gets ready to shoot Thony, Fiona hits her head brutally with a shovel. Instead of killing Ramona directly, Thony buries her unconscious in the grave that Ramona dug for Thony.

More than a moment of revenge, the burial is symbolic. Thony isn't just disposing of her rival, who put her family's life at risk, but she's burying her former self, the woman who tried to do the right thing in a world that didn't care.

Meanwhile, even after Feng's betrayal, Jorge rescues the children bravely from the airfield with El Don; however, Alejandra escapes the scene.

The Cleaning Lady Season 4 ending explained: Did Thony choose power over love?

Thony and Jorge's arc in Season 4 walks a tightrope of passion and pragmatism. Their marriage may have started as a legal cover for a murder case, but somewhere along the line, they fell in love. The finale reveals that their feelings for each other are real, but their goals no longer align.

Jorge, now ousted from Sin Cara after Feng's betrayal, is forced to go into exile. He wants Thony and Luca to join him, but they decline. She's no longer the woman looking to escape; she's fierce and ready to stake her claim.

Before leaving, Jorge gives Thornfield's notepad of shady dealings and contacts to Thony, which might help her to bring down the Hellers. Thony and Jorge kiss before they part ways.

How did Feng outsmart everyone and take control of Sin Cara in The Cleaning Lady Season 4 finale?

Feng's rise to power is one of the quietest yet deadliest storylines of the series. While Jorge and Ramona destroyed each other from within, Feng operated in the shadows—seeding mistrust, sparking cartel fights, and manipulating rivals. His most cunning move was weaponizing Ramona's erratic behavior and Jorge's emotional blind spots.

When Jorge was busy with Thony's arrest and the family chaos, Feng filled the power vacuum, taking control of Sin Cara. His betrayals signal a new era for the cartel.

The season ends with Thony not escaping the cartel life but by fully embracing it. Rather than flee with Jorge or cash in the cartel contact book for immunity, she strikes two brilliant game-changing deals: one with Feng and another with Sam Heller.

By offering Feng an olive branch and requesting a seat at the table, she positions herself as a strategic ally. She gives Feng DA Thornfield's book of secret contacts to gain Feng's trust. On the other hand, she pledges her loyalty to DA Joel Hermann as an informant. In short, she becomes a double agent, living between the lines of law enforcement and organized crime.

The Cleaning Lady Season 4 closes the chapter on Thony's struggle for freedom and begins a new one about the price of power. The finale ends on a cliffhanger, especially as the viewers see Ramona wake up in the grave. Will Ramona be able to escape? Can Thony be the next Sin Cara queen? Will Jorge and Violeta return to Las Vegas?

However, Fox has not yet renewed The Cleaning Lady for a fifth season.
