What happened in Episode 8 of The Rainmaker?
In Episode 9 of The Rainmaker, Bruiser's dad is finally out of prison and has been creating further challenges in Dot Black's case. However, Rudy is determined to solve the case and begins his search for Jackie, which further lets him find out that Prince was working for Leo to get rid of evidence in the case. The biggest evidence is Jackie, who was abducted by Pritcher.
While he initially thinks Jackie might be killed by Pritcher or captured by Prince, he later learns that she was free and alive but was not ready to talk to him, as she did not trust him. Furthermore, after confronting Prince about his working for Leo, he also later learns that Bruiser's dad had decided to drop Dot's case.
However, Rudy knew about what was going to happen, and he revealed to Bruiser's dad that Dot had already fired them from the case and had signed him as her lawyer. Bruiser then gives Deck a chance to work with Rudy on the case and fires him.
Furthermore, it is also revealed in the episode that the bugs planted in Bruiser's office were not by the FBI but by someone else. The final two episodes will see Rudy work to bring justice to Dot's case and get the serial killer Pritcher behind bars for the murders he committed.
