The Real Housewives of Potomac star Karen Huger was released from jail on September 2, 2025. It was after she spent six months charged guilty for her 2024 DUI. At the time of Karen's release, there was a crowd including media, fans, and Bravo TV personnel outside the jail.

Fans must remember the Bravo TV star was charged in March 2024 with DUI and a crash incident. For that, Karen Huger was sent to jail to serve her time. Originally, she was sentenced to two years.

The Real Housewives of Potomac: Karen Huger was sentenced to jail for two years, but was released early following a one-year suspension

On Tuesday, September 2, 2025, Bravo star Karen Huger was released from Montgomery County Detention Center, Clarksburg. To witness her walking out of the jail, a crowd was reportedly seen outside the facility. It included The Real Housewives of Potomac fans, reporters, and Bravo personnel.

For the fans who might not know, RHOP star was originally sent to jail for two years. But, in February, a year from her time was suspended. Following that, she was released 6 months early, with 6 months spent in jail.

Popularly known as The Grand Dame of the Potomac, Karen was reportedly in a single-car crash in March 2024. The incident involved her 2017 Maserati, which was totaled while crossing a median. She also opened up about the incident on The Real Housewives of Potomac, stating what had happened.

According to Karen, she was trying to avoid another vehicle. While returning from a dinner with a friend, her car crashed. Following the incident, she was found guilty in December 2024. Charges, including speeding, driving with suspended registration, driving under the influence, and more, were presented.

Before that, she had three prior offences from the years 2006, 2011, and 2016. After she was found guilty, she also spent four weeks in a rehab facility.

Following her arrest at the time of the incident, there were body cam clips showing her stating she was "really rich." She could also be seen telling the police officers that she would be in jail for a "year or two."

Additionally, her husband, Raymond Huger, could also be seen at the incident, where she didn't want to go through the breath analyzer. In her defence, he stated that she had had a few beers.

Recently, when she walked free from jail, she waved to the crowd. Following her early release, Karen's fans might also be expecting her to join the upcoming season of the Bravo show.

Earlier, on August 28, 2025, Bravo released details for the upcoming season 10 of The Real Housewives of Potomac. Returning cast members, including Keiarna Stewart, Gizelle Bryant, Wendy Osefo, Ashley Darby, and Stacey Rusch, will be featured on the show. Additionally, fans will also witness Jassi Rideaux and Monique Samuels on the show.


The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 10 is set to premiere on October 5, 2025, on Bravo.
