The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 on Amazon’s Prime Video is making streaming history!
The viewership for the first week of Season 3 of the hit series was up by 40% compared to Season 2 in July 2023. The new season premiered on July 16, 2025, and managed to draw in about 25 million viewers, reaching No. 1 in over 120 countries. Within one week, the show has surpassed all expectations and tripled its viewership from the first season.
The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 is currently the most-watched young adult series. Vernon Sanders, Head of Global Television, Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, credits the writer and the team behind the show for the success. As per Deadline, Sanders said,
“I think it’s really Jenny and this incredible cast and the incredible team they’ve assembled. If you think about it, this was a book series that was published a fair while ago, and so I think there have been a number of people who’ve come into this over the years. What Jenny has been able to do, and hopefully we’ve been able to help, is build this community that has just been incredibly passionate and committed and interested.”
Sanders added,
“To see these kinds of numbers after a two-year absence is what’s really blown us away. So it’s the right show at the right time and executed in the right way by an incredible team.”

The Prime Video hit series is based on the bestselling books written by Jenny Han. The Summer I Turned Pretty is a coming-of-age story that centers around Isabel “Belly” Conklin (Lola Tung) as she navigates a complex love triangle with her mother’s best friend’s sons, Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno). Their complicated relationship and the family dynamics form the heart of the narrative.
The third and final season of the series finally brings the story to a close with Belly choosing her partner for life. There has been much buzz around the storyline, with ‘Team Conrad’ and ‘Team Jeremiah’ becoming a trending point of conversation. It is interesting to note that the creators also warned fans against online bullying ahead of the release of The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3.
Han, who also created the series, shared that she is grateful they got to make three seasons for each book. Han said,
“Seeing how ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ has resonated with millions — how the story has sparked so many fan conversations, sent the books back on the bestseller lists, and inspired so many viewers’ reactions across social media — it’s everything I could have hoped for and more. As creator and co-showrunner, I’m incredibly proud of what we made. I’m grateful we got to make all three seasons, one for each book, and grateful that audiences have been so passionately embracing the story I wanted to tell.”
Season 1 of the series premiered in June 2022 and received a rousing reception. The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 is currently the fifth most-watched returning series on Prime Video and has been at the top of the list globally for a week now.
