The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 Episode 4, titled Fiesty Friendly, released on Sunday, May 25, 2025, and was filled with thrilling surprises. Not only did the viewers witness the high-voltage meeting between Bruegel and the Dama's men, but also the most awaited reunion between Maggie and Negan.
Previously, in The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 Episode 3, via flashbacks the viewers saw how the Dama, a master manipulator, had influenced Hershel's mind when he was the Croat's prisoner. In the present day, Maggie, Perlie, and the rest of the survivors tried to seek refuge in a building. Inside the building, they found a group of survivors (Foragers) led by a woman called Roksana. Soon, Maggie realized that Roksana's group fed human hearts to the walkers. Elsewhere, Negan killed Waylan, the Croat's henchman, to save Hershel, but soon disappeared into the forest. By the end of the episode, it seems clear that Hershel's motives are clearly manipulated by the Dama, and his shifting alliance might cause trouble for Maggie and the New Babylon Federation.

The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 Episode 4: What did Bruegel offer and at what cost?
In this episode, The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 Episode 4, the Dama, the Croat, and Negan were on their way to visit Bruegel, the brutal art collector, living in the Metropolitan Art Museum. The Croat seemed quite uninterested in the pact, he even told the Dama that they did not need Bruegel's forces to defeat the New Babylons. Previously, Burazi's forces, with the help of the Croat, easily took them down. However, the Dama made a valid point and stated that the New Babylon forces could maximize their strength, and thus they needed Bruegel's help. In the meantime, the Dama reminded Negan that his family's safety depended on his compliance, leaving Negan with no choice but to obey.
During the meeting, Bruegel opened up about his demands- he suggested a second methane facility be built in the museum. On the other hand, the Croat, out of jealousy, pointed out that Bruegel used steroids/chemicals to make his walker the champion. Just when they started to accuse each other, tensions rose when Bruegel mocked the Croat's accent and Pierce recognized the Dama as a famous critic who once bit a writer. Meanwhile, to pacify the situation, Negan proposed a wager. He said that if his chosen fighter defeated Bruegel's champion fighter, the original deal would be honored, and if Bruegel's champion won, a second methane plant would be built in the museum. The challenge was accepted, setting the stage for a brutal showdown.
The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 Episode 4: How did Maggie and Negan reunite amid chaos?
While the Croat and Bruegel were busy fighting with each other, Maggie, Hershel, and Perlie infiltrated the museum. Hershel set ablaze Bruegel's favourite Washington Crossing the Delaware painting in order to distract them. Amidst the chaos, Maggie saw Negan and whistled at him. Their reunion was quite emotional, and this led to Negan giving up the location of the methane facility (St. Patrick's Cathedral). He also warned Maggie that Hershel may have signaled the Dama, however, Maggie wasn't ready to accept this.
As the walkers' match unfolded, Negan cleverly used the crowd's distraction to sneak in Maggie, but the Dama saw her. Maggie made eye contact with the Dama for the first time, and she soon realized the face matched Hershel's sketches. On the other hand, the Dama ran into Hershel, and their conversation was kept a secret. Negan's walker lost the match, but Negan knew a secret- that Bruegel's champion was a human disguised as a walker. It was none other than his former bodyguard, Tony. Under pressure and fear of getting exposed, Bruegel conceded to the original plan and later killed Tony to keep his secret intact.
